Hot Seat: Debates

Some people in groups apparently had problems following content candidates provided, etc. I think this come from the pattern learned from watching TV in general which is geared toward entertaining rather than teaching detailed information as in these debates. Maybe in 2011 we can begin some kind of education to the general public which helps us sort out details that are significant to understand where nominees really stand.

McCain finished much more strongly, and won on points. No knockout, no knockdowns.

OBAma WON the debate because he was calm, and relaxed, and at the same time right to the point.

CALM???? HE WAS LIKE AN ANTSY 5TH GRADER RAISING HIS HAND.

I was amazed at how rude Obama was. If McCain said something he didn't like, he'd make a face and then tried to interupt McCain instead of letting McCain finish. McCain didn't do that to Obama. It was obvious to me that Obama is not only arrogant and immature, he's convinced of his own saintliness and perfection. His abilities to negotiate and have meetings with world leaders are very suspect to me. He will be the least respected, the least feared, and the least effective based on what happens when someone obviously gets the better of him in any situation no matter how large or small.

Obama won the debate. McCain spent most of his time talking crap, twisting Obamas words around and insulting him. Obama made very valid points and expressed his ideas well.

I agree with his views on the war. We all know that we should of not gone to Iraq in the first place and that our goal was Alqueda and Bin Laden. When Bin Laden was surrounded at the Pakistan border and we had a chance to FINALLY get him, OBAMA wanted to get our bad guy and our current administration agreed to let him go with the support of McCain!!

There are just so many reasons why people should vote for Obama not including the fact that Palin was the worst choice as a vice presidential candidate on many levels, that it is amazing there are still supporters of the McCain-Palin ticket.

John McCains enormous experience in all areas debated tonight just proves that he is ready to take on this troubled nation. I met John & Cindy many times in the grocery store beginning around 1993 in Cottonwood, Az. And I was always impressed with their down to earth lives. They walked me to my car one day just having small talk. But anyway, Obama needs to go back to school because calm & relaxed isn't what we need to lead this country. John is wise, steadfast and over his years of serving this country he will know exactly how to handle foreign affairs and carry a good pen for vetoing unnecessary programs. J.Sproul

Obama won the debate, he show his relaxed posture like always and slammed Mccain on every lie Mccain said .Mccain did mention fraud and conspiracy in wall street I bet my neck that he will be the first one mentioned when the FBI gets deeper into this investigation ,just wait and see.

Mac stood there and laughed at almost everything Obama said. Is that what he'd do with other world leaders he doesn't agree with? Where was Mac on domestic issues? No where. He's a corporate man like the rest of the republicans. Obama is for this country and our people. Obama will help our country stop being the embarrassment the republicans have made of us. Neither one mentioned Russia's weapons in Venezuela, altho Obama did mention Venezuela. Neither one seems to know we're already in a cold war.
A good thing going for the Democrats is Biden. Mac isn't going to make it with Cheese this time. Obama is fortunate to still have Hilary on his side. I think she taught him a few things about debating too.

McCain not only won the debate by a narrow margin..The recent polls proved that the Obama tactics and smears against Palins family and McCains health did not work, Neither did that nonsense about people are playing the race card,, The only ones that did were the Democrats and Oprah, By the way the highest rated News stations poll showed McCain 82% Obama18% on the debate, Will Obama say it was because the people who voted 82%were all racists?

McCain won! He was confident calm and knowledgeable-very presidential. I would feal safe at night. It scares me to think of what would happen if Obama became president, he does not seam mature or experienced enough.

McCain won by a slight margin.. THe reason he won was because Obama said so. He kept saying John is right eight times, While McCain said Obama was wrong again four times, You figure it out. All of Obamas coaching could not help him. He just doesnt know, How could he??? He never did anything before.By the way McCain looked Presidential.. Called Obama Senator, This is correct. Obama called McCain, John,not Senator as is protocol and correct. Again Obama just does not know.

First of all to Ivette, get your facts straight. It was President Clinton that let Bin Laden escape when we had him. Secondly, you people that think Nobama won, should learn to read, at least be able to distinguish colors. In the map of the United States above, Orange is McCains and Yellow is Nobama. The consensus nationally gives it to McCain 57% to Nobama's 36%. McCain won the debate in 46 of our 50 States. If the election goes according to who wins the debate, it will be McCain in a landslide.

Obama showed his immaturity by interupting and acting
childish...Obama loves to dish it out but can't take it! He did the same thing to Hillary during their debates....
