Considering she was playing against a stacked deck by not being allowed to counter respond like Biden was able to, she did a remarkable job. By-the-way, when you have a commentator that does not even know what the rules are, she should be the last one as a monorator.

While Joe Biden was his usual glib self, the fact checkers said there were ten or more times when during the debate, he lied. I personally don't think he did it on purpose, it's just what happens to you after you have been in Wash. for a long time. Say what you need to say, change the facts to your advantage and if caught in a lie, spin it.

For the few weeks she's had to prepare for the job she's done exceedingly well. Compare what she had to say with Joe Biden's 26 years in the senate. I see her becoming a US senator, taking Ted Stevens place, and running for president in 8 years. In the meantime get out your hijab ladies.

I watched the whole debate and this chart is perfect. This is exactly what happened, over half the time she ignored the question ENTIRELY! Aol people are so right-winged, I had to post. Thank you for posting this, I'm going to show it to everyone!

Being fair here, Sarah Palin did exceed expectations in the debate. At times she was a bit robotic and fled back to the same talkig points when she got rattled, but her appeal all along has been emotional - to connect to the base of the GOP, which she does. All Palin did was survive another day - but she will not help McCain win this election and the polls thus far confirm that. Bush won in 2004 by rallying the base (he barely won), but that was four years ago and everything is changed. The base will not be enough for McCain and Palin has little appeal among moderates and independents. McCain is on his own with those voters - and the tanking economy trumps all else.

What i love is how people actually think these polls really matter? do you realize both the stations that conducted these polls have proven to be more liberal!!! Heres how people should view the debate, Sarah Palin won, she held her how own and showed the american people that she could lead and was knowledgable despite the EDITED interviews that the media used to attempt to potray her as an idiot. Again she won.....and let me remind all you liberals out there that at the first presidential debate McCain clearly won on foriegn policy knowledge and they TIED on the issues of the economy, but yet all the people who voted claimed that Obama won because he HELD HIS OWN on a topic he was supposed to know little about despite the fact that McCain sounded and is more knowledgable and exprienced. This is the same thing with the vp debate, Palin who the media views as an idiot and was supposed to just bomb last night did amazing and HELD HER OWN and then some. She really spoke to the middle class. So all the undecided voters should really think about this, rather than let the media / polls tell you what to think. And to the liberals.....if u dont like that sarah palin winked too bad, you better get used to it cuz shell be our next vp.

So anyhow, my friend Ole has a problem winking all the time. I asked him "Ole, why do you wink all the time?" And he said because it's a nervous problem, and occurs when he tells a lie, and can only be cured if he takes 2 aspirin.

that was the point. She wasn't close, and close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. She sucked wind last night. She's obviously unprepared both for debate against an experienced FRIENDLY statesman, let alone a hostile national leader, and equally unprepared for debate.

Was I watching the same debate last night? Sarah Palin did a fair job of showing up and at least speaking coherently but failed at answering the questions. There was no substantive information given
that she hasn't already plucked from her scripted talking points and RNC notes. She wants all of America to forget the past because to do
otherwise she'd have to address all of the failures of this administration and the policies supported by McCain.

Being a woman I want to give Palin half a chance but I'm about to revolt if I see her provide us with another wink and shout out. Where do you think you are at the county fair?

Women have fought for so long to even get consideration as a candidate for one of the highest offices and Palin, in less than 3 weeks, has made a mockery of the hard road traveled by trailblazers like Geraldine Ferraro, Hillary Clinton, Barbara Jordan, etc. Or is this McCain's attempt at making it harder for a woman to be placed on the ticker in the future? Regardless of his motive Palin will have to provide more than a wink and a smile if she wants support from the female gender. Don't patronize us for we won't fall for these foolish tactics!

May I suggest Sarah that you request that your handlers provide you with some specific details about what your ticket plans to do before you start the next Big Parade of interviews!
