    My VP Debate Reaction

Palin did well, you betcha! She nearly tripped over the low bar that was set for her on her way onto the stage, but she breathed and spoke in folksy aphorisms so well that she beat out the underground expectations set for her by the media and her campaigns. And doggone it, she's just as cute as a button!

I'm sure that the flash cards the Governor had in front of her were smartly color-coded - yellow for energy policy, green for energy policy, blue for energy policy and purple for all things Mavericky..

And darn all those questions that book-writing racist O-bot Gwen Ifill was asking! Palin asked and answered her own. That's a maverick! She adroitly proved that she is by far the best talking points-generator to ever grace a debate stage. She did a fantastic job of memorizing her lines and sending them out regardless of the questions asked.

Biden did no harm, although he was corrected on the acceptable oil drilling cheer. It's "drill, baby, drill" not "drill, drill, drill". Also acceptable would have been "drill here, drill now". Another Biden gaffe.

Early flash polls from CNN, CBS and MSNBC show Biden with the win. AOL is just about tied at this moment (which says a lot for Biden consider how our polls usually go) and Drudge has Palin up about 2.5-1. The big surprise, again, is the Fox News poll. Biden 61%, Palin 39%.

My only complaint with Palin (other than the talking points and wanting the VP to have more power) is that she needs to get those bangs trimmed! They kept getting caught in her eyelashes and it was driving me nuts!
