The American people are asking the candidates a serious question: how will you put our country back on track?
Rather than provide a direct answer, the McCain campaign is attempting to change the subject to distract from the fact that it has no acceptable answer to the question posed.
And like Palin, who boasted that no, she would not answer the question posed, the McCain campaign has made no effort to hide the fact that it is going negative precisely to avoid a debate on the issues, a debate which it has until now decidedly lost.
So I'll ask you, toer of the McCain line: How will your candidate put our country back on track?

Radical association should be brought up. Why did Obama stop wearing the American Flag right after 9/11? Does he pledge allegiance to the American flag at all? Is he trying to turn America into a 3rd world country? What lessons has he learned from Rev. Wright who Hates America and White Americans in particular? It makes you wonder...but then look at the Drug commercials..the American Mindset doesn't look at the big picture...Like "Take this pill for your symptom, however it may destroy you kidneys or liver." They hear what they want to hear. We deserve what we get if we vote for Obama and it really scares me to the point of taking my money out of this country and living somewhere else for 4 years.

If this country was in a stable state i could see obama maybe being president. There are to many HUGE issues to hand over our country to a radical liberal man.......

Okay, let's get to the root of the economic problem. Oil prices went up significantly - Pelosi said no discussion would be held on energy until after the first of the year. People are spending more money on gas and heating fuel than they can possibly afford- thus, they cannot afford to pay their mortgage payment. Pelosi backs off somewhat on her energy comment and passes legislation allowing the US to drill 50 miles offshore (the Chinese, Cubans, Russians, Venezuelans, etc. are allowed to drill 25 miels offshore). Pres. Bush warned in 2002 that there was a problem with the mortgage industry - John McCain tried to have legislation passed in 2005 to bring the problem under control - Barney Frank, and CEO's of both Fannie and Freddie said NO PROBLEM existed with the mortgage industry (by the way, both Fannie and Freddie have contributed heavily to Obama). I believe the DEMS are more responsible than anyone for the mess in our economy. And, as for Obama, he voted "not Present". I think we should vote him "NOT PRESIDENT".

McCain needs to stop being the "nice" guy and stop the petty name-calling. He needs to look the American people in the eye and tell them that BHO claims he will not increase taxes on 95% of us, but raising tax rates on our employers (the remaining 5%) will kill our benefits and pay rates, not to mention forget raises and hiring in the future! In addition, BHO has said he will raise the federal taxes on energy, which means those 95% who will not see an increase in their personal taxes will see a HUGE increase in the taxes attached to their electric, gasoline and oil bills! Those bills could double with the rates BHO is proposing! That will hurt the economy even worse because disposable income will go way down! Of course, those on government programs (LIHEAP for example) will get more for nothing at the expense of those of us who have to earn what we get and pay for what we use!
And as for the 95% that will not see a tax increase, BHO has already said he opposes the Bush tax cuts! Look at your pay stubs from 2000 and 2007 and see which looks better (assuming all things have remained the same -- dependents, etc.). I know mine look much better now and my annual refunds have never been this high! Since BHO opposes the tax cuts of this administration, when they are reversed, it will result in an automatic tax increase for those of you who weren't supposed to see your tax rates go up!
We keep hearing that McCain is going to tax employer-sponsored healthcare after giving the insurance companies a $5000 tax credit. First of all, who's annual health insurance premiums cost his employer $5000? Not mine! Only those who have primo plans (union members, teachers, government employees) have plans that cost that much! Secondly, even if the amount for a plan is over $5000 a year, the taxpayer would only be paying taxes on that amount over and above $5000 that the employer pays on his or her behalf. Thirdly, I doubt that Congress would approve taxing healthcare benefits anyway! They're so liberal in Congress right now that they only want to tax everything you actually own and can hold in your hand! That way they can redistribute your property (money, land, etc.) to those who don't have it!

Boy, McCain could go after Obama on so many fronts. His association with terrorists; his involvement in the Fannie and Freddie debacle and how he voted "NO" to the regulation of these entities; his extreme liberal voting record; his lack of experience and time in the senate only voting "present"; his voting to allow surviving newborns to die after a botched abortion; his extreme radical past; his muslim connections; and his 20 plus years in a hate filled anti-America anti-whitey church. If he can successfully show that all of this is true and we all know that it is already, and at the same time show a clear plan for the economy and show why Obama's big agenda will clearly cost the taxpayers tons more money in these slow economic times, then McCain can turn the tide of democratic lies and people will support him instead of a terrorist. Pray that God is with John McCain tonight. Because this really is a showdown of Good vs. Evil, and our whole future depends on it.

I heard on the news today that in 2004 on this very day in October, John Kerry was leading George Bush in the polls by 9% just like it is with Barak Obama and John McCain today. And we all know what happened, so this election is still up for grabs. The part that cracks me up is that the Obama camp is saying that he leads by over 20%, which we all know isn't true. It did not jump over 10 pts. overnight. But Obama believes that his followers are just that stupid, in fact he is banking on it literally.

Where is the "All of the Above" answer?
The fact that Obama pals around with the likes of Ayers, Rezko, Wright, and other subversive, anti-Americans should be enough that not ONE American would vote for him.
What the heck is wrong with our country today?
How could even one person watch the video of Wright cursing America and vote for Barrack Obama?
How could even one American even associate with Ayers, much less a presidential candidate?
How could even one American vote for a man who thinks our flag is a symbol of oppression?
What is wrong with Obama supporters? Don't they realize that he is out to destroy this country?
How can you NOT know it? The footprints of his past are there for you to see if you will only look!

Just read on Newsmax.com that over 100 of our country's ambassadors are backing JOHN MCCAIN. I guess they don't feel we should sit down with our enemies with any preconditions, like the obama/ayers/wright/ dude. THANK GOD. PLEASE ALL YOU LEVEL HEADED PEOPLE OUT THERE DO NOT PUT THIS MUSLIM IN THE HIGHEST OFFICE OF THE UNITED STATES. McCain is more qualified to bail us out of this FINANCIAL CRISIS, which the democrats were instrumental in prolonging after they were warned by McCain to look into (like Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae) two years ago. VOTE MCCAIN/PALIN OR WE ARE ALL IN TROUBLE.

The economy is a important issue, however, the American people need to be aware of the fact, that Obama will, tear down our military, open our borders wider, pull our troops out of iraq before it is time. In other words, Obama will allow the terrorist's easy access to use the dozen or so dirty bombs they have ready to blow-up in America.

To answer the question above:"What should McCain's attacks on Obama focus on?" Maybe someone should research where Obama gets the money from for his campaigning???? He has a commercial on a local channel where I live that is almost 5 mins long!!!!!!!!!!!!! There has been speculations that Obama is getting large amounts of money from the middle east! He has even returned large portions of money b/c of the individuals he recieved it from(terrotist) and is affraid of the media getting information on that and linking him with terrorist!!!!! Wake up "AMERICIANS" do you want the USA to have a president with the name of Barrack Husain Obama??????? Do your home work and you will find that McCain is waaaayyyy more qualified and so is Palin!!!!!!

This question is obviously slanted in favor of John McCain. Apparently, the questioner believes that Obama will not stoop to nasty lies, therefore we must rate McCain. What a laugh when people refer to Obama as a tax and spend liberal after the huge deficits that George W. Bush and his Republican cronies have saddled the country with. I believe the anything goes attitude of the Bush Administration has lead straight to the mortgage crisis. And the Iraq war has been a huge factor, though nobody has placed blame on it. However, any time an individual or any government entity from the city level up through federal, loads itself with debt it creates a problem. Basic economics that anyone who runs a home knows: When your outgo exceeds your income, you have a big problem. And just remember, the Republican rubber stamp congress from 2001 to 2006 gave Bush everything he wanted. Now the Democrats have such a small majority of 1 or 2 independents, it's difficult to accomplish anything.
