A Palin Pumpkin or Barack-O-Lantern?

Why do you keep comparing Obama to Palin even with pumpkins? It's the top of the tickets, dummy, who will be president.

Barack is the better pumpkin face!
He's even looking down his snobby nose at us in his pumpkin picture!

Michele, the reason for putting (only) Obama and Palin on pumpkins is that they couldn't find a pumpkin old and wrinkled enough for McCain *or* Biden.

But to answer Mo's question, Palin definitely makes a better pumpkin, in part because it can neither talk nor wink, which whether she knows what it means or not, are definitely among her "Achilles heels." (Hint: it's not a brand of designer shoes.) But that's OK, because neither one of them (nor their running mates) is running for Great Pumpkin.

I, myself, enjoy a wink or two. It looked like Biden did, too.

Well, Gosh Darn it, us folks up here in Alaska know that Sarah would make the best pumpkin because, gosh darn it, pumpkins are American and she and John are mavericks who'll fight for what's right in America!!!
Why she'd be a great pumpkin because you can put any face the handlers want on that good old Joe six-pack pumpkin, scoop out her head and fill it with whatever "on message" focus group tested sound bytes you want and she'll be great. Why Charlie Brown - look! It's the great pumpkin....I mean the great Sarah Palin!

Sarah looks better on the pumpkin but I think Obama's speeches are closer to a trick or treat plan. He claims he is against war & wants to bring the troops home from Iraq. Now he wants to send troops to Afganistan. We have to stabilize Iraq so all the many sacrafices were not made in vain & before we start another war. John McCain trusts our top military officials to know when the time is right to withdraw our troops. He was raised in a military family and does care about middle class Americans. Sarah Palin is middle class & she cares about all Americans. John McCain suspended his campaign to listen to the debates about the rescue plan with the financial market in crisis. Obama accused him of not being able to multi-task. One of the major abilities of multi-tasking is to prioritize what is more crucial. Anyone that wants to become the next president should WANT to hear the debates & opinions for the rescue plan. McCain has a more realistic plan than Obama's promises to provide healthcare for all, affordable housing for all, etc. Yes that would be great if it could be done. Many presidents before him have tried & that was before we had this horrendous national debt. I vote for the Mavericks that can get positive results for all Americans!

Palin has the best pumpkin-face... As far as the winking, read the Book of Proverbs and you'll find a warning, about those who wink. BTW, I think that McCain has a better pumpkin face, than Obama. While I am a Republican, I put politics completely out of my mind and judged these people, by their appearances only. I only wish that picking a leader, were as easy as picking a pumpkin face.

Regardless of who looks better on a pumpkin, Biden would look much better as Vice-President than Palin. Most of the Republicans I work with, including doctors, nurses and respiratory therapists, are dismayed by the choice of Sara Palin by McCain. The main concern is McCain's age and health, and they do NOT like Sara Palin. People who I have never heard of supporting the Democratic ticket in previous elections are now supporting Obama and Biden. I never thought I'd live to see the day with how hard-core some of the Republicans I work with were in previous elections. Palin might have brought McCain's poll numbers up temporarily a month ago. But she is a leading reason they are dropping precipitously now.

Excuse me, but Palin and Obama are not vying for the same placement in office - why is everyone putting the two of them against each other? He is running for President; aka Chief-in-command, top dog, top bananna the man with the plan etc., she is only running for Vice President (which. if the recent past holds true, she likely, if her running mate gets elected) won't be seen or heard from (uh, where is VP Chaney right now?) We as Americans obviously need to try to take care of ourselves as there seems to be no clear choice in who will work/protect us. So stand up my friends, our true battle is just beginning.

I, for one, was appalled at Palin's performance - as in circus performance - at the debate. We women have worked so incredibly hard to be taken seriously, and she stupidly, thinking she's breaking the glass ceiling, winks and flirts her way through a serious event. Can anyone imagine the reaction to a man doing that? A respected woman, as in Hillary or Margaret Thatcher?

Biden is a statesman, classy and dignified. Of course he will act diplomatically to this kind of farce from a woman.

Do you want a happy pleasant pumpkin or one that will haunt you for 4 years? Obama is the scariest ever. Sarah is the pumpkin I would like to give my grandchildren!

No matter how much the media tries to make Sarah Palin, it is just going to happen. She is a beautiful person and one of, if not the only, refreshing light on the political scene indecades. I would like to see pumpkin faces of Nanacy, Pelosi, Harry Ried, Rich Durbin and Barney Frank along with Obamas 2 advisors who ran Fannie and Freddie into the ground and of course, one of Rev. Wright.

I LOVE the Sarah Palin pumpkin! She's my idol!

Sarah Palumpkin looks a bit, rotund to say the least. As a Halloween decoration, I doubt many kids could overcome their fear of her ghastly image to nab some candy.

So of course, I have to go with Senator Barack O'Lantern here, far more distinguished. Beaming with hope and possibly a candle within, he makes me believe in America again. I would be honored to have him grace my porch steps.

I'd prefer a Palin-o-lantern, because you get rid of jack-o-lanterns the first week of November. Art imitating life.

Palin is as fake as a pumpkin face. Her comments about Obama being a pal of terrorists is absolutely despicable. She might be a good cheerleader at a high school, wink, wink, but as a v.p. and , God forbid, the President of the United States, she would without a doubt be a disaster. As Bill Maher says....Only in the United Stupid States........Europeans see her as dumb as straw.
