Update: Here's the video. They definitely turned the music waaay up to drown out the boos. Considering the game was in Philly, this was probably a best case scenario for Palin. Also, please note, this was an NHL game, not an Obama rally. There were also no discernible calls for violence or accusations of mass murder and treason.
I guess this proves that all different kinds of people dislike Sarah Palin.
Update: I just watched the puck drop, and there was definitely a lot of booing, at least from what I could hear. The Flyers had the music up extremely loud the whole time, drowning out the crowd. We'll have to wait for some of those fan videos to get the real scoop. These are Philadelphia fans, so I expect there will be some raucous ones.
I received the following via email today, from PuckYouPalin.com:
It's time to hip check the right wing!
Join PuckYouPalin.com on Saturday during the Rangers/Flyers game and chant... PUCK YOU PALIN!!!!!
With the announcement that VP nominee and self professed "hockey mom"Sarah Palin will drop the puck at Saturday's Flyers/Rangers game, puckyoupalin.com is getting inundated with emails. The web site has heard its fans and will post video of hockey fans chanting PUCK YOU PALIN from Saturday night's game.
The game starts at 7pm EDT, so I guess we'll find out soon how big their email list is. I can't stand hockey or Palin, so I'm not sure I'm exactly their target audience.
"PUCK YOU PALIN" SOUNDS LIKE WE ARE NOT GONNA AVOID RACISM , WE JUST REPLACE IT WITH SEXISM.. CATCHY TITLE..

I do not blame the McCainites for going psycho. Look who their leaders are. A grumpy old grinch that feels he is owed the presidency and a Tina Fey wannabe.
The McCainites are upset and losing. They are ranting and raving lunatics. They don't know what to do. They look at McCain like he is the Mighty Casey. They must feel like they are in Muddville. As the days go by there is no joy in McCainville because the Mighty McCain is striking out. ....DEBATE-1-Obama v. McCain-Obama Wins. McCain looked and acted like a grumpy old grinch. STRIKE ONE...DEBATE-2-Obama v. McCain-Obama Wins. McCain looked and acted like a grumpy old grinch. STRIKE 2....DEBATE-Biden v. Palin-Biden Wins. Palin looked and acted like she was trying out for Saturday Night Live.McCAIN CALLS FOR A TIME OUT.
Who is Sarah Palin? 1. She was found guilty of abusing the power of her office. 2. She is under investigationfor failing to report $60,000 to the IRS. 3. She encourages riots at rallys. 4. She has a teenage daughter that is about to have an illegitimate baby. 5. She is married to a person that was a member of the AIP for seven years. The AIP preaches hate toward America.6. She lied about the bridge to nowhere. 7. She is against abortion even in the cases of brutal rape and incest. 8. She knows nothing about the Bush Doctrine. 9. She lies constantly on Senator Obama. 10. She knows nothing about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. 11. She is George Bush with lipstick. 12. She has no conscience when it comes to right or wrong. 13. She is a spin doctor for hate.

The Bailout Boys -- Obama and McCain.
Time to let the American people know that on November 4, they have a choice.
The people's candidate -- Independent Ralph Nader.
The man who stood against the bailout of Wall Street crooks. And for regulation that would have prevented the current crisis.
VOTE RALPH NADER - INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT, Make your vote count for real change.
BILLINILL, I AM JUST GOING WITH THE TONE THAT TOMMY HAS SET FORTH HERE. HATE IS WHAT HE IS PROMOTING...I AM JUST TRYING TO FIT IN. WHAT PART OF PUCK YOU PALIN ARE YOU OK WITH ??? I GUESS YOU DON'T SEE THE HATE THERE ???

Tommy, have you and David Knowles lost your minds? Are you attempting to get readers frothing at the mouth again? Do you really want to inflame political and racial passions?
I have mental images of you two. I think you were both little boys that did not fit in, ignored by other children and endured by adults. Now, when you should have grown up, you both view your invisible presence as a source of power.
Neither of you need to look any further than your left-wing opinion pieces for hateful speech. You constantly incite hatred while masquerading as a concerned opinion writers.
You are both pathetic, disingenuous kneepad Obama pawns.

In one article you admonish McCain and Palin for inciting their followers. And, in the next, you incite people with your puck---- It is absolutely a double standard!
While I don't like the racial slur from Eric, I feel as strongly about slurs against Sarah Palin. They are wrong and she did nothing to deserve the crummy treatment she has received. Tommy, it's on you if there's violence at this hockey game!

IT AINT WHAT YOU CALL A PERSON IT'S WHAT THEY ANSWER TOO. GET A LIFE YOU HATEMONGERS AND REMEMBER GOD IS STILL OVERALL JUDGE AND THERE WILL BE A GREAT JUDGEMENT DAY. I HOPE YOU STOP WITH THE RACISM AND LEARN THE DICTIONARY A LITTLE BETTER SO YOU CAN TALK INTELLIGENTLY AND FIGHT RESPECTFULLY, UNTIL THEN YOU ARE WHAT YOU CALL OTHERS BECAUSE OF YOUR OWN IGNORANCE.

Saying FU or in this case PUCK YOU to someone is not sexism and leagues away from the N-word. TC and Eric, you are mental midgets. Eric you are just an all out racist and I'm sure you're proud of it. What's the matter? Weren't you hugged enough as a child?
Bob, you can't sue people for FU chants. Especially in hockey. Please join the other two F-tards I mentioned above please.

I don't think Tommy is responsible for the meaness, racism and intolerance of this campaign and this is just a silly news story. What is important is that both McCain and Obama asked us to take a step back and get back to looking for the good in our fellow citizens and to remind ourselves that we are all Americans.
This morning I was walking on Broadway and 3rd in Nshville. I was wearing my brand spanking new Obama t-shirt. As I approached 3rd and made ready to cross the street a vehicle rode by and the driver yelled at me "Obama Sucks". I yelled back "kiss my ass" and I felt bad all morning. I shouldn't have responded thus, maybe a smile, maybe a "sez who" but not the way I did. The reason I am voting for Obama is that he would have taken it in stride, been diplomatic in his response. I knew I couldn't vote for McCain after the incident, during the primaries, when a woman called Senator Clinton a bitch and he smiled with his molars unleashed. He endorsed that display of public disrespect. He encouraged that low level of interaction. And now, on the trail, Palin and McCain are starting to see the animal that they have let out of the cage.
It all begins with me. Let's be more civil and tolerant in our public exchange of ideas.
