Even as the news media and the left focuses on the "deeply divisive" and "ugly" tone of McCain supporters responding to his current attacks, as they all but ignore the content of those attacks, we know that there are kooks and ugly supporters, sexism, smears, etc. on both sides. As an example, my fellow blogger Tommy Christopher brings up an excellent example:

So. Anyone want to take bets on whether anyone in the media will start writing stories about the "ugly" tone of Obama supporters or demand that Obama give them a stern talking to?
Yeah, I know ha ha. Yet we all know how the comments are here for both sides. And yet somehow, only McCain is being tasked by the media. Interesting how that works.
As Gateway Pundit noted before, when McCain supporters start printing and distributing signs saying Obama = terrorist. Then we'll know we have a problem.

Well Dave, I agree with you that there are extreme people on both sides, keep in mind that that is true in pretty much every walk of life. The difference in this case is that this is people expressing their point of view, it is not organized and fostered by the candidate or their campaign. McCain to a certain extent, and especially Palin are advocating disturbing positions personally from the stump. Or at least they were, we'll have to see if he follows through on his attempts to bring his campaign back from the fringe.

Obama has been questioned, interrogated, probed, dissected, etc.
What "race card" are you talking about? Those words have been overused to the point of absurdity.
The media did call Obama on the fact that he unfairly brought attention to McCain's age.
Obama has outlined his plans, he has written two autobiographical books (which are quite candid) So what don't you know?
By the way,no one has to use the race card when people such as yourself write these vituperative remarks. You tell on yourself. Your consternation about this whole presidential race is quite clear and its not because you don't know the issues.

I just saw a video of a woman who works at the Mcain campaign headquarters saying she has been mailing out fliers saying Obama is an Arab. So,yes indead hate flyers are being mailed out with un-truths. It may not directly say he is a terrorist but it certainly has that smell to it. And the truth is he is neither an Arab or a terrorist. He is indead an honorable man who will be getting my vote. Obama/Biden.
There is a big difference in booing than there is calling someone a terrorist. That is dispicable and dishonorable. Shame on Mcain for allowing it.

Obama is a Christian, when he was in Indonesia, I believe he was a child. He was only in Indonesia because of his mothers second marriage and attended school briefly in Indonesia. He really did not have much choice in the matter.

the reason people protest the war is because some of us think war is not the answer especially when started under false pretenses no end in sight billions of dollars spent and way to many lives lost this country is divided and racism is and has been alive and well its funny some of the mccain-palin supports sound like terrorists (why so angry hateful and hostile? mccain should and probably is ashamed

Nothing is worst than having close friends as terrorists,friends that went to an extreme extent in helping Obama as Ayers did. Obama launched his political career in the home of Ayer in 1995. Now, Obama says they were not close, just a guy in the neighborhood, but them Ayers hired Obama, had him in charge of millions of dollars to win over votes. Now, they also worked together in CAC organizationg and then again they worked together fighting legislation in The Woods Fund. How close it that? Ayers who said recently he should have bombed America more than he did and said he do it again, is not the type of friend I would want. Terrorist are born in America, they are all around us, but when we know they are one, we don't become friends, walk in their home, and work together with them in not just one workplace, but two workplaces. Obama gave funds through Citizens services to give to the Acorn organization. Obama really has a nice group there. Obama's wife said recently she can now say she is proud of America. Did she have to beat the rat that was going to rat her out that she didn't like America. We know each other more through the friends we chose.

first of all, Obama wasn't there when they were saying that, so why should he say somehting? Obama didnt make that web site either.and there are plenty of anti- Obama sites as well as antiMcCain ones. McCain was there at those rallies where his supporters where saying those things. and lets not forget the "THAT ONE" comment made by McCain. Obama has never referred to McCain by anything other than his NAME.

The censorship, sexual harassment, discrimination, sexism, ageism intrinsic to their every story should not be allowed.
Their work is filled with sarcasm, parody, insults, innuendo, sexism, ageism, sexual harrassment and race-baiting and is the epitomy of highly unprofessional yellow journalism. One would, however, be hard-pressed to consider them journalists in any way however. They bring AOL down as a useful tool in evaluating the political situation for they subscribe to the very low standards of the Obqama campaign.. standards....
It is clear they are as void of integrity and values just like the man they support.
