Better Watch Your Back Joe...

You're destroying the media narrative that Obama is the dreamiest candidate ever. Ask Sarah Palin what that means. Yes they are going to take a break from the Sarah Palin attacks and redirect some researchers from Anchorage to Holland, OH. It's already starting:

The Toledo Blade noted online this morning, as this became a media obsession: "Linda Howe, executive director of the Lucas County Board of Elections, said a Samuel Joseph Worzelbacher, whose address and age match Joe the Plumber's, registered in Lucas County on Sept. 10, 1992. He voted in his first primary on March 4, 2008, registering as a Republican.

"Ms. Howe said that the name may be misspelled in the database."

Public records databases examined by The Plain Dealer, including those for voter registration, indicate that Samuel Joseph Worzelbacher (note the "o" instead of the "u"), with the same street and age as the now famous Joe the Plumber, voted in 2002, 2005 and 2007. But he listed the Natural Law Party as his party.

BTW, the Natural Law Party is not exactly easy to pigeonhole, but one could probably accurately categorize it as somewhat libertarian. Not exactly good evidence that Joe is a McCain plant. Joe voted in the primary, but given his views and McCains first position on the Bush tax cuts, I'd say it's highly unlikely that McCain was Joe's first choice, or his second, or his third...

The problem for the media is that Joe turns out to be a much better articulator of free market and supply-side principles than John McCain. If allowed untrammelled access to the media, he might remind everyone why America doesn't like redistribution of wealth schemes. That cannot be allowed to stand. And so Joe, I hope you don't have a DUI, a messy divorce, or whatever in your background, because you have blasphemed the Chosen One.

Hey I know, let's get Joe Biden to attack Joe the Plumber.

Wow, I bet Joe Biden never expected his role as a VP would be to take a hatchet to a full fledged blue collar plumber. But Joe Biden is all for the middle class as long as they never try to get rich and stay on the plantation. And as for the line that plumbers don't make $250k? Consensus on this thread is that a $250k plumbing business is pretty standard for 3-4 employees. The kind that Joe might work toward owning in a country that rewards, not punishes success.

Ha! Just as I post this I see another developing attack line posted via Chris. Charles Keating huh? Oh, he's related to a guy who ran a failed S&L and married Charles Keating's daughter.... and I guess that means that Guilt-by-association is back on the table?

Our New Approach to Comments

In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers – a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around. Please read our Help and Feedback section for more info.
