As I was pulling a clip for another post, I ran across this Daily Show segment from a GOP debate during the 2000 election. There are a few things that I thought were worth noting.Mainly, I wanted to highlight the presence of young, upstart correspondent Mo Rocca. I know how I cringe whenever I see eight year old footage of myself, and I'm hoping he does the same.
As I watched the piece, I also noticed that there have been only subtle changes to the GOP landscape. The cast of characters has changed very little.
Most remarkable, though, was candidate George W. Bush, in the background at the 2 minute mark, claiming foreign policy experience due to his state's proximity to Mexico. The more things change...
