A reader in Colorado sends over word that the state Democratic Party and the Obama camp are blasting out robocalls from "Joe Martinez," a plumber in Colorado who vouches for the Illinois Democrat's tax plan.
Hi Maggie,Obama's Virginia Robo-calls
I heard a caller tell you she had received a call from John The Plumber tonight on your program. When I came home tonight, I found a recorded call on my answering machine from John The Plumber. It made me very disgusted and when I called back the number that was on the caller id (877-622-6264), there is a pre-recorded voice of Obama.
Thanks for all you do!
Eileen
Shortly before 9 PM today, Saturday, October 18, I received an Obama robo-call from someone claiming to be a plumber in Fairfax. I wasn't able to catch his name. Has anyone else heard this? I'm curious to know who this person is.
Joe the Plumber called and left a message on my answering machine saying he supports Obama because he understands the middle class, will cut taxes and provide healthcare for the uninsured...Well, all's fair in politics and plumbing.
Isn't it nice that Obama not only made fun of the guy, but now they're using the likes of this man's identity for a telephone campaign?
