Its Okay for Republicans to change the tax codes so that the majority of the tax breaks goes to big corporations and richest people, then throw a bone at the rest like few hunded dollars tax breaks, paid for cut in subsidies to states that results in either states cutting other benefits or raise other taxes. but if Democtrats change that and spread it to people who are backbone of this nation and their shopping is 70% of our economy, this is called Socialism. I call it justice. 2% of people earning 25% of all income in this country! this is cerating monsters and has broken the back of the middle class. 70% of middle class is out of cash, mostly out of credit and can't make ends meet. The rich who got very rich in last 8 years haven't peed enough to trickle down on the Peeons who want to keep status.
So we all work for the rich to get richer and we dream of it, no health insurance no tax breaks for public this is called socialism. How dare?

You are correct. I work for a rich guy and all he does is pay me every two weeks. I cash his check and work some more, and again all he gives me is a paycheck. I want his money, not his companies money. More for me, less for him.

John McCain need to be ashame of himself not telling the truth about a man asking a $250,000 question just for the hellavit. Is John McCain encouraging people to work under the table and not report their income to the IRS to evade paying tax on earned income? McCains entire campaign has turned disingenuious since Palin join 7 weeks ago and I am very dissappointed in what I once considered to be an American Hero that allowed himself to turn into a ZERO overnight.

I don't know what Palin/McCain's followers earn anually but it appears that they all make up and above $250,000. If I made that kinda money I would camp out at Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. I worked at Neiman Marcus 1987-1988 and I know that Sarah Palin does not even come close to having the class to shop in that store she appears to be a J.C. Penny, Sears, and Wal-Mart Girl. She has already said she has no credit cards, she can't afford on her salary to shop in either of those store with cash. All I want to know is what charity are they going to be donating our tax dollar clothing so I can stand in line? This just goes to show that McCain has no sense of economics, none what so ever. I am not rich, I work hard, don't make a 6 digit figure but close. I work 40+ a week and pay taxes. People who make 24k and less don't pay ANY taxes. Why is it we should be taxed higher for this?

You want to talk about capital gains? I invest in the market, an increase to capital gains would kill me when it came time to pull out that money for an emergency (wher eI would actually have to pay for an ER visit) the poor can already go and get free ER treatment?

The reason why poor are democrats is because they want free handouts, free this, free that, this is called socialism and dstroies economies (take the old USSR). Look at the great job our govenment has done with social security, and we really want to give them our medicare? Get ready for 12 hour lines baby! Check out canada and see how well long they wait.

We need to stop spending money on war, downsize the govenment, and cut taxes. This is the answer, not social programs and re-distribution of wealth.
