Attack Victim Twittered Just Before Attack

The crazies are surfacing everywhere. Hate has no place in a free democracy and this campaign has aggressively promoted it. Still no one deserves to be assaulted for speaking their mind and the guy who did it should be tossed in jail for a very long time.

The rage is just beginning to emerge. It will worsen if we don't have calm, mature leadership.

This woman didn't get medical attention, so is this "B" verified? Seems to me this is an example of white hysteria at best and true blue American racism at worst.

Considering Kennedy's health, I doubt he agreed to this. Regardless, MoveOn.org does not speak for Obama. Furthermore, I contributed to Obama--but I don't contribute to either the RNC or the DNC. I only contribute to the individuals who I believe in, regardless of their party.

Whatever became of the post, from Mo Rocca, with this woman's picture on it? I was hoping for something verifiable to show up there; but can't access the other article atall now. Have I hit the wrong keys (again, LOL) somehow?

Why is it racism? The story said nothing about the crime being race related. Just because some people don't support Obama doesn't mean they are racist. I'm so sick of the race card being played left and right.

If she was attacked, it could have been for any number of reasons. She did have a McCain sticker on her car bumper, but that seems like a stretch of the imagination.

Agreed, and then some. This is a horrible crime, during a robbery, but Really should not be used to perpetrate more violence, hate, or vitriol... we've had a fill of that this election, I think. First and foremost, we are ALL Americans, no matter what letter is beside your candidate's name on the ballot.

And, there is always that ... if ... to contend with. The despicable robber-attacker, if guilty, should be tossed in jail and the key thrown away. If this was some sort of a farce, I believe the consequences for that should also be extreme. Time will tell...

Til then... we don't really need an excuse to get out the shanks and guns to use on each other over a sick individual... do we???

Reports are coming that this story is a HOAX. The 'B' is backwards and didn't break the skin, indicative of a self-inflicted scratch with the help of a mirror. The downstroke of the B is UP if the image is turned, which makes no sense for those claiming the attacker did it from behind. Also, the "black eye" shows no swelling of any kind and looks like makeup, and she did NOT request medical attention, which is very unusual for the attack she described. Lastly, why in the world would a mugger stick around to gently carve a perfectly formed letter on a women's face after committing a felony in a public area? It all points to BS. Criminals of this type couldn't care less about politics.

Even *Michelle Malkin* is saying she doesn't buy this tripe. Just more nasty tactics from McCain supporters, and this time it's a blatant appeal to racists. Don't believe it.

Hey, can you believe that Palin said on the NBC news today that bombing abortions clinics is not a form of terrorist. Now, she and McCain have nails in their mouth about some old washed up guy from back in the 1960's during the anit-war period. But she don't see someone who would bomb an abortion clinic and kill only God knows how many people as a terrorist.
That woman is dangerous. Please send her back to Alaska. It is small so she can not do quite as much damage up there.

Wrong side of Pittsburgh at 9pm. in Bloomfield. I would not be out alone in Bloomfield at 9 pm. Why would you use an outside atm? You can use a debit card or credit card for gas. Every place has an atm machine. Bloomfield and Lawrenceville are no place to be at night and alone.

PITTSBURGH — A woman robbed at knifepoint at a Pittsburgh ATM told police her attacker knocked her down and carved a ‘‘B’’ in her face after noticing a John McCain sticker on her car.
Police say the victim refused medical attention for the wound. An officer saw the injury, but a police report does not describe its size or severity.
Authorities say the woman is from Texas, but aren’t identifying her.

Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richards says the woman was withdrawing money at 9 p.m. Wednesday when a man approached her from behind, put a knife to her neck and demanded money. She says she gave him $60.

The woman told police the robber then noticed the bumper sticker, punched her in the back of the head, knocked her down and carved a ‘‘B’’ on her face.

Bloomfild was an old Italian neighborhood that has been over run with drug users and lower income people are all that's left. The only ones left either can not afford to move or won't move.
The people she was working with should have told her to not go into these neighborhoods alone at night. There are few republicans in Bloomfield, Lawrenceville, or Friendship.
