Most of the Catholics I know are voting for Obama and Biden. At least the Democrats care about people AFTER they are born. And Democrats aren't into starting wars that don't need to be started. They are also for helping those less fortunate than themselves. That's what Christianity is all about. It's not about forcing people to deliver babies that were conceived after women were raped or after their uncles got them pregnant. Most of the Catholics I know, know that there is separation of church and state in this country and that Catholic popes don't rule America.

First let me speak to those who think that Obama is a muslim or a terorist or both-stop listening to the Hitler's of this time, ie:Rush Limbaugh and Shaun Hannity! They are the terrrorist of this time because they lie and cause ignorant people who want to feel better than others empowered. Do your own homework idiots, think for yourself! And as far as the issue of abortion goes not all Christians, and me being one of them-I am an evangical white Republican, believe that making abortion illegal is the only solution! I don't want any unsaved young women dying in a back alley abortion either after her father or uncle had raped her! I think she had suffered enough up to the point and I would rather wrap my loving Christian arms around her and comfort her with compassion, understanding and wisdom. I would help her see other solutions to her situation and then I would go after who ever hurt her in the position and try to get them counsel as well! They might also have been rapped as children and the cycle needs to stop! Not all issues are black and white, most should be handled in the gray area as God would. God loves mercy! and so should you! Think for yourselves! Do not submit to pack mentality thinking. Kneel down before God and seek the truth!

McCain is fooling the Catholics and the Christian right. Abortion would NOT end in a McCain administration. McCain wants Roe to be overturned so THE STATES can decide (what a cowardly punt). He DOES NOT support a constitutional amendment to ban abortion. Every indep study has shown that the chance of any state outlawing abortion is nil. BY the way abortion for rape and incest only? How is this proven? Is it only reported rapes, convicted rapes? How can repubs who usually want the govt to butt out expect and force wome to reveal such private info, esp incest? In fact, some states would probably loosen restrictions on abortion so the situation could become even more deplorable with women traveling from state to state. Abortion shoul be rare and federally controlled. WE must educate the young to protect themselves sexually, not just abstinence only. We must improve womens economic situations so they can afford to keep the children, give them healthcare so they can afford prenatal care, or support adoption.

I have to agree with buzzcut. Palin has done so much damage to this country already. I hope McCain doesen't win this election, if he does, we are in great trouble. I don't think he will do anything different than Bush. I think he is losing it! And therefore it would be easier to just follow Bushes footsteps ranther than have to think for himself. I am seventy five years old, I am well educated and I have been through a lot of elections and knowledge of voting, but my mind isn't as sharp as it used to be. And the fact that McCain chose Palin as a running mate just confirms what I am saying. He was stupid enough to think that because Hillary didn't get the nomination that he was going to put a woman on the ticket just to get the women to vote for him. Sorry John, you struck out. You McCain supporters are in for a rude awakening if he gets elected. Wait until it comes time for you to retire and you don't have any social security because you couldn't afford to put money aside when you were younger, or maybe you are just rich and you don't care.I was born in 1933 and I know what it is like to be without. So if I were you I would give it a lot of thought before voting for McCain and Palin.

When I first learned about Palin, I found her incompetencies to be somewhat humorous. I thought that maybe she was just nervous and uncomfortable with the sudden notoriety she had to contend with. However, I am no longer laughing. This woman has proven herself to be an intolerant, idiotic, mouthpiece for many (though not all) social conservatives. Her reluctance to identify abortion clinic bombers as terrorists is indicative of the dangers of the fundamentalist mentality pervading some churches. These people will tell you that aborting a fetus is the worst act in the world to commit, yet they seem to have little or no problem with people murdering live human beings. They are also often the first in line to cheerlead war efforts. 'God's Warriors' they call themselves. Shed as much blood in Iraq as possible; if we have to kill a few thousand innocent civilians, then so be it. We are America, and God loves us!

I implore all of you to share this video with as many people as possible. The thought of her being anywhere near the presidency is an absolutely terrifying prospect.
