Update: Cheney Endorses McCain

Cheney endorsing McCain is the final stake in the vampire's heart. McCain's campaign is like a mirage. After the votes are counted it will fade away.

The best revenge will be when Senator Obama becomes President-elect Obama and the McCainites will not be able to do anything about it. They will go Psycho and more dysfunctional than they are now. Palin will go back to Alaska and face the music for all the wrong doing (Troopergate, Disclosuregate, IRSgate, etc) that she has done. Palin may be a convicted felon in 2012. McCain will limp back to the Senate and cry to Joe LIEberman.

All Obama supporters should rejoice! As hard as McCain has tried to distance himself from the current administration, an endorsement from a selfish, power-mad, arrogant jerk like Cheyney must have been the LAST thing he wanted!

It only reminds people that we would be getting more of the same..Go Obama!!!!!!!!!

McCain wanted to pretend that he has little or nothing to do with the Cheney-Rove-Bush administration, yet voted Bushway 90% of the time as a senator. The only maverick-like thing he's done is choose Sarah. What thoughtful Repub would approve of that choice for VP? McCain was going to show those Bush controllers just how independent he is. No matter how poorly he chose the person who is to step up if he would die. McCain can't fool us. Looks like his 'ol buddy Cheney owed one to McCain and gave it to him with today's coveted endorsement. Too bad for McCain that Cheney-Bush-Rove had the last word.

Hey, this thoughtful Republican, former Democrat, thoroughly approves of the choice of Palin for V.P. She is an intelligent, strong, and UNFETTERED woman, unlike Obama who is fettered to a long list of terrorist, criminal, and radical friends. I don't need to list them. Everyone, including me, is getting sick of reading about the newest additions to that long list of Obama's shady associates. You're going to see that the huge army of quiet, intelligent Republicans and Democrats who want to protect this country will elect McCain as our next President!

If you wonder why there are few comments here, the answer is that they are being removed as quickly as they are posted if they are anti-Obama in any way. I'm one of the idiots who pays for AOL. That's going to change!

Cheny wants McCain to win in the worst way. LOL He wants McCain to continue the war so he can continue to receive the dividends from his stock at Haliburton. Haliburton provides all the supplies to the US army in Iraq and Afghanastan. Simple really.

A Post-Halloween Story

Good afternoon kids, here's a little story of how politics can almost absolutely ruin a great holiday party:

As I have stated in other postings, Halloween is absolutely my favorite holiday of the year--no stress over buying gifts or spending a day cooking a huge meal that is over in roughly 5 minutes--just unadulterated fun, regardless of age. This year promised to be even better when the annual hostess (who happens to be my BFF of 35+ years) of the Halloween party we always attend included on the invitation that this was an adult party only, no kids (hers and my kids are all adults). Great, no kids, just around 75 adults drinking good wine and snacking on good food (except, no fun size Snickers of which I was quite annoyed about) and having good conversations. And it's those 'good conversations' that almost ruined the whole damn party. And most of you on these blogs are pretty sharp people so you probably know what those conversations were about. Now from what I could gather (I didn't know everyone there as we've got some newbies) this was a politically diverse group--which quite frankly makes things much more interesting, right or wrong, it's boring when everyone thinks alike. After a discussion with an attending shrink (whose costume as a dork was absolutely priceless) which ended in the shrink happily diagnosing me as 'evil', I got involved in a political discussion about taxes. Everything was going fine until I innocently (really and truly) asked, "Who are these 40% of Americans who don't pay income taxes and how can I become one?" Well, that's when the shit hit the fan--and did so at lightening speed, which is usually the case when people cannot handle their booze. Voices raised immediately, people began to gather, mob mentality threatened to take over. Now, I'm just watching at this point when my BFF asked me, "Dammit, PCL, did you start this?" The shrink is looking at me with that smile that says, "See? Evil." And my husband of 27 years in his half Superman, half Clark Kent costume says to me, "You know, I thought if you were dressed up like Indiana Jones, this year we would avoid trouble." Oddly enough, it was one of the guests dressed up as, of all people, W, who defended me explaining to my BFF and my hubby that I had merely only asked a question--to which I gave my husband the look that says, "Well, looks like someone will not be getting any 'treats' this Halloween night." Things were getting ugly--and I mean ugly, it was like watching a fight between Bill O'Reilly and Bill Maher. My BFF tells me, "We better do something before they start getting physical." "Music." I told her we need music with the volume up. Now everyone who has read my posts knows that Bruce is my man--well my BFF (as is most of the women at this party) is the same way about the Boss--but which song to break up the fight with? Well, the nice thing about being women in our 'ever so early' 50s is that we have pretty much figured out the one thing that trumps politics with men--so we put on Bruce singing, 'Fire'. Thankfully, my friends husband is an electronics geek who has the whole house wired to the entertainment system, so we pump up the volume. Most of the ladies moved to the center of the room and started dancing, we figured even if it didn't stop the fight that we were sure was going to break out, we would at least go down dancing. There are few things in life that are sure bets, one of those is the male gender's penchant for watching the female gender do anything in numbers. This time was no different. The men did exactly what we figured they would do--Bruce, you are such a peacemaker. For the rest of the night, politics was replaced by dancing and laughing. Thank god for Springsteen and the certain 'drives' of men--another great Halloween party for the books. Now, let's see what trouble tonight's dinner party brings.

Now my reason for this story is because I read today (and I'm not saying I agree with the story) that the supporters of McCain's are not feeling too upbeat, while the Obama supporters are feeling absolutely giddy. But here's some of my ways of offering comfort: One, it ain't over yet--no one on either side should be complacent. Two, McCain supporters, most of Obama's supporters know EXACTLY how you feel, because it's no different than how they felt 4 years ago. Three, regardless of who wins, the other side WILL survive because that's what Americans are good at--survival. We move on and regroup and live to fight another day--which is why from day one of a new presidency, they become immediately focused on re-election.

So to borrow from a movie, let me just say for some: There might not be any winning a presidency. There might not be any victorious election parties. There might not be any tax cuts. But by god there will be wine, women, & dancing!
