Obama: We Will Bankrupt the Coal Plants

    Posted:
    11/2/08
Wow. This is from the same outfit that unearthed the "redistribution is the goal" video that caused such heartburn (and dropping poll numbers) for Obama last weekend. Naked Emperor News:

We're likely going to find that this audio was unearthed by a Republican leaning oppo group, but that doesn't do anything to lessen the devastating impact here. These are Obama's words, from just a few months ago.

McCain is targeting OH, VA, WV, and PA, a blue state that where McCain has been quickly catching up in the polling numbers. All of these states have large areas where Coal is a huge and necessary industry. And I mean the type of industry that keeps towns together, pays for schools and jobs.

Obama has already been on the defensive considering Joe the Biden's gaffe on coal earlier in the campaign, which is also presented here at the end of the video.

And it's spoken to the same crowd (San Francisco) to whom he admitted what he really thought about small town PA and OH.

"they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

Yep, and they cling to coal too. Might explain why Obama lost PA in the primaries by an extremely large margin.
