Ralph Nader's legacy has been in steady decline for some time. From consumer advocate, to presidential spoiler, to irrelevant windbag, Nader seems to be playing a game of limbo when it comes to public approval. Just how low can he go? Well, last night the stick may have just come crashing down for good. Here's his interview with FOX News' Shep Smith:
Thanks for all you've done, Ralf. Seat belts, check. Airbags, check. Good stuff. But we'll take it from here. You get some rest.
Im no Fox fan and the Hawaii 5/0 "Dano" look alike but he got Ralf there and good too !

I don't like FOX news either, but this one time they did something right.
WOW, is Nader ever out there with Pluto Palin too! What a shame, people still living in the past. GET OVER IT! Heck, we had to endure 8 long years of Bush's crap! I SAY, GOODBYE!

Gee, Ralph, if you want to have any influence with the new President, it might help to speak politely about the guy and not use offensive language even before he has had a chance to do anything wrong.

If Obama become an Uncle Tom, that would be a high compliment. I am African American and I have read the book several times and I am always suprised how the name is used to as an insult by people who have not read it or any book by that matter. Have any of you ever read the book, Uncle Tom's Cabin? The character, Uncle Tom sacrifices himself and always holds himself to a high standard. In the end, may people give their life to Christ and his former slave master frees all the slaves on his plantation because of Uncle Tom. Before illiterate people start calling other people names, they need to read the book!

I used to respect Ralph Nader for all his good work as a consumer advocate, etc...but his comments during this election cycle have been negative and over the top. The fact that he had to go on Fox News says volumes about his decline. Ralph, your time has come and gone...pass the baton on to the younger generation and go take a much needed vacation.

Everyone craps the bed when somebody speaks the truth, he used "Uncle Tom" to refer to somebody being used by the corporate world, but Obama being black everyone craps their pants. Spare me, the guy was bullying him, don't fixate and obsess over a phrase, look at the meaning behind it. Bottom line message was to say he hopes Obama lives up to his words.

I can not believe how unprofessional Shep Smith was. Ralf was not offensive to anyway, he simply wants someone to stand up to corporate American and challenge the authorities that so many of you foot soldiers take orders from. Who do you think supports you media outlet? I can not believe people actually acknowledge CNN and Fox as news. Try listening to Link. Mainstream media barely entertained anyone besides Obama, forget their blatant bias toward McCain and Palin. How easily people forget Nader wanted to debate and bring attention to large corporations, but guess who wouldn't allow it? You got it- your beloved mainstream media.

i think it is all wrong. i graduated from high school, and college, have a wonderful family in a great community, own a business, and i am 26 years old. I am white, and, oh my i can spell, i do know what is going on and i proudly support the new president elect Barack Obama. The people that don't understand are the people that must have a thing against african americans, or have been ignoring the issues the republican party has brought on the past 8 years. I am disgusted at people like Ralph Nader, and anyone that puts down other people. This reminds me a saying my mother taught me.. When you Point a finger you have 3 pointing right back at you.... give up saying negative things and lets do as our new president and JOHN MCCAIN both said (in a way)last night... WE ARE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, LET IT BE THAT AGAIN!!! why talk trash about someone that hasnot been able to prove anything yet? in 4 years feel free, but not now, just give him a chance.

I have never paid the slightest attention to Nader in the past, however, his comment this morning was actually truthful and insightful, much to my amazement and much to the stupification of the already brainless media clowns who really had no comeback other than pseudo shocked insults. I have new-found respect for Ralph now and even more loathing for the slimeball MSM. Nader's concern is not the only choice BO must make should he survive the looming court challenge to his citizenship, but it is important. The most important is the question of whether he will expand the current policy of mass murder of innocent little babies in their mother's wombs as he has pledged to do, or shut down the (concentration-camp-like) slaughter houses entirely. Will he continue to have a fountain of innocent blood constantly spilling over his benighted soul (much worse than that of Hitler who only presided over the mass murder of 12 or 13 million people as opposed to 50,000,000 American babies thus far), or will he renounce the feminist murder by abortion vote and become a real man, a man of genuine integrity and real courage. Many millions of us will be watching.

Let's get real folks. What Nader was saying in my opinion was just indicating that this individual has the option of two different philosophical avenues available to him. Neither McCain or Obama have significant concern about the poor man or woman on the street. Their concern is ensuring good business and therefore buying into assisting major corporations. Have you ever seen any individual leaving the president's officePOOR ? I thinknot .

I support Ralph Nader. I am waiting to see results from Obama and from the re-activated public that came out to work so hard for him. I wish I could join their cheers, but I need more evidence that the words are backed with courageous actions. Of course I am glad that McCain did not win, but I would vote for the candidate I believe has the right agenda for the United States, and that is Ralph Nader. He is an American hero, I congratulate him for staying in the race. His message to Obama means a lot to me. Today's talk at the National Press Club also reminded me of the potential progress we can expect from Obama's presidency, on important issues such as gun control. The enormous enthusiasm from around the world is also something to make one happy about Obama's victory.
I hope we can look forward to a more vocal public and a more responsible governance. I also hope that Ralph Nader is welcomed into the halls of Congress to give testimony and guidance on vital issues he has studied in depth and with a compassionate heart.
