With the selection of Rahm Emanuel as President-Elect Barack Obama's Chief of Staff, it was only a matter of time

before a piece of damning YouTube video surfaced. This is that video. (h/t Ben Smith)

Yes, folks, it's true: Barack Obama laughs at his own jokes.

My favorite part is the bit where Obama talks about Emanuel's amputated middle finger, although I would have done five minutes on that alone. I'm from New Jersey, where this would qualify Emanuel for permanent total disability, but disqualify him from holding a driver's license.

Obama has displayed a knack for comic timing in the past, but more recently, poor choice of material. Either way, it will be nice to have a President who is intentionally funny.
