I realize I'm the mouthy sort, and it isn't that I was blown away by Palin's ideas or intellect. I just felt it got so unfair and nasty. I have come to like her more because of all the criticism. It made me read more about her.

I am especially offended by the attacks on her religion, just as I was on the attacks of Romney's religion. I also am very offended by the hillbilly attacks.

I am a hillbilly. People do not seem to get it just because you are in a trailor park or live back in the mountains doesn't mean you are ignorant. It does mean however, that perhaps your opportunities have not been he same, just as the opportunities for many African Americans in the inner cities have not been the same.

I don't ask that anyone agree with Palin. I don't even know that I do. I come from essentially the same religious background as she does. But am veered away. I am pro Choice, I believe in civil unions for all -- do not think marriage is the business of the state for either men and women, or for homosexuals.

So Palin is too far right for me, just as Obama is too far left.

At any rate a hearfelt appreciation for this positing, I am pleasantly surprised.

It seems to me that a lot of members of the GOP are trying to save something. Either their reputation, careers, necks etc. and most of them had some kind of associatioin with Palin. Now we all know that the woman is book dumb by all standards, but she is not totally stupid. The only people that are stupid, are the ones that are wanting her to run in 2012. Please america, stop egging her on and maybe, just maybe, she can go back into her igloo and stay there from now on.

I'm sure the Democratic party hopes Palin is the Republican candidate in 2012! Say it with me now...YES WE CAN...AGAIN 2012!

Oh please the only exciting and attractive feature of the GOP effort was Sarah Palin. I don't care what anyone says, her biggest problem is that she is a WOMAN. Shiver, all males are afraid of a competent independent woman. All GOPs are looking very stodgy and small right now. They are humiliating themselves by taking this tactic. I'm as far from being a women's libber as they come, but even I realize the sexism that the media spewed in their treatment of Palin. It was ridiculous. Who questioned Michelle's wardrobe? Who questioned Obama about anything, including his experience? Palin is so far beyond Obama in experience that demonizing her is absolutely ridiculous...

2012? My vote is with Romney. We have just elected a socialist and need to get back to the true reasons this government was formed. It wasn't formed to give government handouts.

as there are a lot of legitimate criticisms to be made, but I've found myself defending her a lot recently (Unlike, as the LA Times notes, McCain, or any other GOP leader save one). That's because legitimate criticism is weakened by dishonest or unfair attacks, and because it just isn't right.

Would that she had had your same scruples before she thought to call Obama a terrorist.

Sorry Sarah....But PayBacks ARE HELL! You were the first on with the onset of attack by saying things about Obama that weren't true. Things like "PALING AROUND WITH TERRORIST." If you would have taken the time to check things out before saying such trash..things may have been different for you and, yes, me.

I'm a register Republican, but have always voted for the person that I believed would do the BEST JOB, not just by party. You and Senator McCain lost my vote in the last month of the election BECAUSE of the unfounded lies YOU contributed to this election, and McCain knew were NOT true.......

Eddy, Bill Ayers IS an unrepented terrorist, plenty of proof for that. And yes, his association goes WAY beyond "being on faculty with him" at the university. That was a blatant lie. Odinga is a radical (yes, some refer to him as a "terrorist") in Kenya, and there are videos of Obama rallying for Odinga's campaign with a loudspeaker IN KENYA in 2006. Odinga's followers were the cause of uproar/riots, and bloodshed--major bloodshed--when Odinga lost the election. Did Obama condemn that after he helped (diligently) with his campaign? NO. Prove one thing she said WASN'T true. Post it back here. Show it wasn't a lie. We'll see how legitimate it is.

The Obama media spread lies about Palin to cover up Obama's lack of experience, his judgement and his associations. They never vetted their own candidate. Is it too early to start an impeach Obama movement yet?
