Transition Co-Chair: Obama Rules!

Valerie Jarrett, Co-chair of Barack Obama's Transition Team, appeared on Meet the Press today. She made a fairly minor slip-up, magnified by the "Messiah" narrative advanced by Barack Obama's opponents during the Presidential election.

Being a charitable person, I would respond to Jarrett by saying that Obama already rules, in much the same way that Jimi Hendrix rules, or the Jets rule (at least today). As Merriam-Webster's puts it, "slang: to be extremely cool or popular -used as a generalized term of praise or approval {for a little attitude at the right price, sneakers rule - Tish Hamilton}."

Right, like sneakers. That's a great example. Nice dictionary.

This is all not to be confused with Rule 34. There's a different website for that.
