Report: Hillary to Accept Secretary of State

The UK Guardian is reporting that Hillary Clinton will accept Barack Obama's purported offer to be his Secre

tary of State:

Hillary Clinton plans to accept the job of secretary of state offered by Barack Obama, who is reaching out to former rivals to build a broad coalition administration, the Guardian has learned.

Ordinarily, I would take this kind of report with an entire salt lick, rather than the pebble of rock salt that I now employ. The report doesn't even identify the source by anonymous sourcing standards. The Guardian, however, is a paper with an excellent reputation, lending it some credibility.

If true, this would end days of speculation, and remove from the media the one thing that it still has to talk about.
