N.Y. Sen. Charles Schumer's constituents are clamoring for 2009's hot ticket. The Charlie Murphy stand-up show? Close: Tickets to President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony. Unfortunately, he only has 350 seats to offer.

Yesterday, the Senator announced, "Although I wish all of America could attend the inauguration, there is only so much space. We need to distribute these tickets fairly."

And what could be more fair than a lottery?

New Yorkers interested in obtaining tickets have been asked to submit their name and contact information at his Web site by Nov. 30. The drawing will take place Dec. 5 and winners will receive the (free) tickets.

And then they have to figure out where to stay.
