Al-Qaida Leader Calls Obama 'House Negro'

Supporters of Sen. John McCain who either believed or insinuated that President-elect Barack Obama is a terrorist may be scratching their heads this morning. According to an AP reporter in Cairo, Ayman al-Zawahri -- al-Qaida's second in command -- has released an audio message highly critical of the former senator, insulting him and calling him, among other things, a "house negro," implying that he's a black American who is subservient to whites.

The message, which showed up on terrorist Web sites Wednesday, claims that Obama is "the direct opposite of honorable black Americans" like Malcolm X, adding that his plan to boost military activity in Afghanistan is futile, because Afghans will fight back.

Whether or not the anti-Obama contingent expected a resounding message of post-victory praise from al-Qaida, we already know from a post yesterday (HowObamaGotElected.com Doesn't Click) that voters of both parties subsisted on loads of media-inspired myths: Do people really believe a graduate of Columbia and Harvard believes there are 57 states in the Union? And do people really believe that Gov. Sarah Palin spent $150,000 on Jimmy Choo pumps?

Granted, during the 2008 Election Gov. Palin got excessively lambasted by traditional and non-traditional pundits for her occasional slips of the tongue, folksy cuteness and of course winking. But her detractors never slipped into outright madness in their criticisms, unlike some Ohio supporters seen below who are unsettlingly caught up in this idea that Obama has "got the bloodlines."
