Barack Obama Meets Star Trek

Update: Writing one political article about Star Trek is challenging, to say the least. Caleb and I have now written four.
We had so much fun doing the first two of these that we decided to turn the premise inside-out, and populate the Star Trek universe with figures from this year's election season. Even funnier, and with lots of hee-larious pictures, these are the funniest Star Trek political stories you're gojng to read this year.
So, go ahead and watch the new trailer again, then join us to boldly go where no blog has gone before.
Star Trek 2008: The Wrath of McKhain – by Tommy Christopher
Star Trek: The Vexed Generation – by Caleb Howe
There's a brand-new trailer out for the next Star Trek movie, and you can scarcely imagine the quickening of pulse that this caused around here. Somewhere between Chris Matthews' feeling up the leg, and National Reviewer Rich Lowry's wink-induced couch posturing. Caleb and I just had to write about it.
You may wonder what, in the name of Rigel 7, does Star Trek have to do with politics? Well, set your phasers on "Wonk," and get ready to be beamed up to the imaginations of Caleb Howe and Tommy Christopher, as we answer that age-old question.
