It looks to me that if Bush had stuck his hand out, it would have been shaken. The fact that HE did not offer to shake hands appears as if HE is snubbing THEM.

This is news worth a couple of minutes of a major news show, whether or not people shook hands with President Bush? Bush Derangement Syndrome simply has no cure.

Good for the President, I didn't elect him twice to be voted Most Popular or Mr. Congeniality. I'd rather be feared or loved.
Is CNN fair and balanced? How much more evidence do you need of bias? Shame on them...

lulu: I was wondering the same thing. Regardless, it's almost over for all parties concerned. Let's see how they handle Obama.
andrew: We don't live in a bubble--we have to play well with others, and Bush & Company failed to grasp that foundational point of diplomacy. As far as fear goes, there's always somebody who wants to take on the biggest gunslinger in town. It's fine to carry a big stick when one knows how to speak softly.

Bush never once offered to shake hands! I agree with a previous poster. What kind of world leader would request a summit and show complete disrespect for those who attended? If some saw the video opposite the way that Sanchez saw the video, isn't it possible that the world is right. BUSH IS A DIPSH_T. I really hope that we never ever have to look at another Bush in the Executive Branch of Federal Government. They relly have not been good for America.

Bush was always a moron with a drinking problem. Why should it surprise anyone that he is also an assh*le as well.

Bush was the one doing the snubbing. And rightly so. They are all a-holes whose only wish is that the US was as socialistic and miserable as they are. Now it appears that they'll get their wish.

It is not so much the person who should be respected as the Office and the People that person represents. All Americans should feel insulted by the actions of these people.

please click the link below to see the video...you will love it...guaranteed
The anchor (can't remember his name at the moment - Rick Sanchez or somesuch?) isn't exactly doing a masterful job of hiding his hatred for Bush. Googling "Bush" and "Bully" and reporting the number of hits he came up with.
More of that great unbiased media work on display.

Not one went out of their way to shake his hand, nor did he extend his own. This pretty much sums up our reputation on the world stage.

And yet most of them are more than willing to extend a hand when they sense a US handout coming in their direction.
Screw 'em.

There is a fine line between being feared and being stupid. Again President Bush has shown the world leaders just how unbelievably cocky Americans are. This is a real emabarrasment. People don't realize thatthis is a bad reflection on Americans. I hope that this next party will turn things around and make Americans more proud to be Americans again...

How come you people don't get the facts before you judge someone. This was on the World News and it showed President Bush shaking hands with everyone before they walk into the room. The people doing the hand shaking in line were people who didn't get a chance to do it before they entered the room. Once again this is nothing but the media pulling a bunch of BS to make President Bush look bad. God, I hope none of you people ever get asked to be on a jury because you'll believe anything your told without any proof or facts.

And the bloggers here fall right in line, naturally. I don't imagine we'll get an "update" from Knowles on this. He's busy scanning YouTube for new Palin footage.
