Michael Medved posts over at
Townhall.com that "one of the world's most prominent gay entertainers" doesn't want the right to get married. Said Sir Elton:
I don't want to be married! I'm very happy with a civil partnership. The word 'marriage,' I think, puts a lot of people off. You get the same equal rights that we do when we have a civil partnership. Heterosexual people get married. We can have civil partnerships
Medved goes on to praise the "irrefutable logic of this clear-thinking superstar."
Ironically, two years ago, almost to the day, Medved wrote a piece on Townhall
criticizing Elton John for being intolerant of religion. I guess Medved's article really moved John to rethink his feelings on religion.
