"Technically," Dave was also sort of correct in predicting that we'd "have to wait until Nov. 14" (or actually later, though the *likely* MO result was known much earlier) to know the Electoral College count. Of course he also predicted that we'd have to wait that long to know the *winner*, so maybe not so impressive (;-).

Mine too, namely that the Dems will pick up one of the two remaining seats (most likely Franken beating Coleman) but not the other (Martin losing to Chambliss). But of the other predictions that are still possible, zero bloggers predicted a Dem pickup of 6 seats, and three predicted 8, so Dave's (7) is the only *unique* prediction that can still be right.

Actually, I'd be interested to hear from Tommy (who predicted D+11) and Greg (D+10), exactly which additional seats they thought the Dems would pick up. McConnell? Wicker? Who's your 11th, Tommy?

So, unless I am mistaken, I believe this is the first time in decades that Missouri did not predict the winner of the Presidency?? Yes? No??

Actually, the "proof the map is changed," at least from what it was in the last two elections, is that Obama *nearly won* Missouri. The more substantial proof, in my eyes, is that he won *Indiana*!!!!! CO, NV, even VA have all been "trending" D of late, and based on polls and demographic shifts I wasn't even that surprised by NC. But *Indiana*!!!!! The "most southern state in the North." The 1920s stronghold of the Klan. Going not only for a Democrat (first since who, LBJ? HHH?) but for a *black* Democrat! That's definitely the result that I still can't get over.

Missouri has voted for the winning Presidential candidate in the last 10 consecutive elections. This is why it has a nickname of the Bellweather state.
Missouri also has a new Senator, her name is Clare McCaskall. Clare won the seat in the 2006 sweep of the Dems in that election. Clare spent her first 2 years as a new senator out campaiging for Obama. She was all over the state and country for a long time working full time for him. She could not deliver Missouri for him so I have to have doubt about her strength for the future. She has a nasty reputation and is not very likable, Missourians should get her replaced in the next election if she runs again.

Well, MO just elected a Dem governor (the only one to switch parties this year), so maybe Obama (who I think still likes her despite losing her state) will appoint her to his administration and some other D will take the seat.

Elections Officials May Audit Obama’s Fundraising

According to a published report this week, the Federal Election Commission is unlikely to vote to audit the Obama campaign finances, and will sweep aside a formal demand for an full audit that was filed by the Republican National Committee on Oct. 6.
But interviews with current and former FEC officials, as well as a review of FEC commissioners’ public statements, suggest that the commission could pursue an “audit for cause” of the Obama campaign, based in part on allegations of widespread fraud and illegal donors as reported by Newsmax.com and other publications during the election season.

A significant number of donors who have exceeded the limits of $2,300 per election. According to the Obama campaign’s own disclosures, more than 4,000 of its donors fit that bill.

Those concerns also can include receiving money from foreign donors. The FEC compiled a list last month of more than 16,000 contributions from overseas sources.

A Newsmax survey of roughly one-fifth of those names found 118 individuals who appeared to be foreign citizens.

The Republican National Committee based its demand for an audit of the Obama campaign on reports from Newsmax and other media organizations that suggested widespread irregularities, including taking money from foreign donors and from donors with fictitious names.

Three Republicans and three Democrats now sit on the FEC as commissioners. But the commission was crippled until June because of partisan wrangling.

But will the commission act now? Incoming commissioners Don McGahn, a Republican, and Cynthia Bauerly, a Democrat, insisted that they would hear cases at the FEC in terms of their merits, not party affiliation.

McGahn said he doesn’t believe commissioners are partisans. “Ultimately, the commission’s core constituency is the general public,” he said at the May 21 hearing.

Since the democrats took control of Congress a few years ago, the country has been financially raped. Pelosi, Reid, Dean, Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton, Frank, Dodd, Obama and Biden are a scary group. Most of them made money during the financial crisis. Now they will minimize our military and we can only pray that terrorists will not attack us again on our soil. God help us all.

57 million people voted against your hero. That's an awful lot of voters carrying over to 2012. Which means it wouldn't take very many fickle, disgruntled people (like the ones who voted for him) to vote him out, which they will. He can't possibly keep all the promises he made during the campaign. It will be history repeating itself when a true conservative ticket makes Obama Bin Lying a one-term President, like Reagan did to Carter. You and the rest of the Obama blind faithful will be squirming very soon.

The FACT is that little is going to change in Washington in the best interests of the people of this country (e.g. Rahm Emanuel made sure to stack the Democrats with pro-war congressional candidates in 2006, and Ms. Clinton is a HAWK...not to mention the illegal and ill-advised "bailouts" the Democrats are so fond of) and the Democrat vs. Republican fable will continue in our single party political system.

Wait --- it's all Clinton's fault, no Bush's, no Reagan's.

Actually Congress controls Washington and both sides of the isle prefer to shamelessly rip off the American people.

Real change would begin with the end of the illegal Federal Reserve Bank, instant rejection of all provisions of the Patriot act, imprisonment of all responsible for the illegal invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan, etc.

I doubt this will happen as most of Congress has voted for these criminal acts and probably won't prosecute themselves!

SOON THE DEMOCRATIC-CONTROLLED CONGRESS AND OBAMA WILL MINIMIZE OUR MILITARY.
