Barack Obama Chooses Sidwell Friends School for His Daughters

I think it's great that the Obama's chose such a fine school for their daughters. I believe that some of Biden's granddaughters go there too. Knowing that the school has already dealt with Secret Service in the past and the security issues involved with high profile students, makes this school seem like a very reasonable choice for the Obama girls.

That would be a long commute for a child, unless you plan on moving back to DC.

I'm just wondering why they keep giving out such persoanl information about the Obama's. They've not only given the name of the school the girls will attend but also their secret code names with the secret service. Why do we need to know this? Are you trying to give this information for someone to hurt them?

President Elect Obama's daughter need to go to a private school with lots of security. If it was me I would home school my children because of a the whack jobs out there already making nasty comments.

I CAN REMEMBER DURING THE CAMPAIGN MICHELLE SAYING THAT SHE IS JUST LIKE "ONE OF US." NOW SHE IS SENDING HER KIDS TO A PRIVATE SCHOOL. WITH THE DC SCHOOLS IN A MESS, ONE WOULD THINK THAT IF THEY SENT THEIR KIDS TO A PUBLIC SCHOOL (WITH ALL THE SECRET SERVICE) THE SCHOOL WOULD BE TRANSFORMED IN A DAY. YOU KNOW--CHANGE ONE SCHOOL AT A TIME. MICHELLE COULD EVEN GO IN AND HELP WITH THE SCHOOL SYSTEM. OBAMA DID MENTION EVERYTHING HE IS GOING TO DO TO HELP THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM. I GUESS THE PEOPLE IN DC HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO CONTINUE TO SEND THEIR KIDS TO DC SCHOOLS. WHAT'S GOOD FOR THE DC KIDS SHOULD BE GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE OBAMA KIDS. PUT ACTIONS INTO YOUR WORDS, OBAMA, AND CLEAN UP THE DC SCHOOLS. WITH ALL THE SECRET SERVICE ACCOMPANYING YOUR DAUGHTERS, ONE SCHOOL COULD ACTUALLY BENEFIT FROM A TURN AROUND.

As President you would think they would hire Private Teachers to come to the White House in order to protect his children.
