Even before Hillary Clinton officially accepts the Secretary of State gig, Karl E. Meyer and Shareen Blair Brysac have found it appropriate to nominate a successor for her in the Senate. We refer, of course, to William Jefferson Clinton, America's 42nd chief executive and commander in chief. Yet now, by a wonderful combination of circumstances, comes an opportunity to harness his unquestioned political talents to benefit his country, the Democratic Party, New York state and his spouse.This could be a great opportunity for Bill Clinton too. With Charlie Rangel's current problems, his New York congressional seat could be available by 2012 when Hillary's term is up. After that, Bill Clinton would be well positioned to land a low paying job as a community organizer, and from there, sky's the limit!

Does someone who has been barred from the legal profession qualify them to serve on the senate??? I think Mr. Clinton's past legal troubles and Monica Lewinsky disqualifies him.

The Clintons will NEVER NEVER go away. With the baggage they carry, they probably would not be able to get security clearance to get a menial job in the White House. We have sufficient numbers of crooked, immoral people in our Congress. Enough -- let us not add another.

Anyone who meets the constitutional requirements can serve (felon or not, disbarred or not), unless the Senate should vote to expel him/her. Since Ted Stevens was not re-elected, the Senate is not faced with the problem of having to decide whether to expel a convicted felon.

WHY OLD BILL IS READY TO GO TO IT AGAIN. HE STAYS READY! THIS COUNTRY IS IN BAD SHAPE ALREADY AND WHEN WE KEEP 'PETTING' THOSE CLINTON'S WE ARE ASKING FOR MORE BIG TIME TROUBLE. Why people are thinking negative. Where our Country's economy was when he left. Clinton should be credited for this at least. Forget about this personal life, he did not harm citizens by this so be it. Republicans could not take his hard work for the country so they pull his leg. If they dig everyone's profile in Washington everyone have the same so live with it. We need Clinton's work team to bring our country back - what is exactly Obama is doing no CHANGE for big change slogan. He knows Clinton's team are the best.
