Even before Hillary Clinton officially accepts the Secretary of State gig, Karl E. Meyer and Shareen Blair Brysac have found it appropriate to nominate a successor for her in the Senate.
We refer, of course, to William Jefferson Clinton, America's 42nd chief executive and commander in chief. Yet now, by a wonderful combination of circumstances, comes an opportunity to harness his unquestioned political talents to benefit his country, the Democratic Party, New York state and his spouse.
This could be a great opportunity for Bill Clinton too. With Charlie Rangel's current problems, his New York congressional seat could be available by 2012 when Hillary's term is up. After that, Bill Clinton would be well positioned to land a low paying job as a community organizer, and from there, sky's the limit!
