Still President George W. Bush will be pardoning the traditional Thanksgiving turkeys today at the White House. This year, Bush is using the event to show his commitment to democracy by letting the good people of United States vote on the names of the Turkeys.

Didn't Palin just pardon a turkey? How many people get to do this? I thought it was only the President, so what was she doing? A photo op? A burst of compassion? Oh well, another turkey lives to see another day.
One thing that's always niggled at the back of my mind, to split hairs or something: to be pardoned, you must be guilty of something, right? I suspect these gobblers don't have a lot on their consciences.
Still, it sounds nice.
Are those really the name options? I guess we'll find out.
