Joe Biden has been getting a lot of press lately for, well, not getting a lot of press. At today's Governor's co

nference, he ad-libbed some tragicomic remarks about the shadow cast by his GOP counterpart, Sarah Palin.
From Politico:
"And Gov. Palin, I want to thank you particularly."
"I might point out, as I told you, we walked in. Since the race is over, no one pays attention to me at all. So I'm - maybe you will walk outside with me or something later and say hello to me," prompting laughs from all, but an especially loud one from Kaine.
"It's great to see you, Governor."
I think the Obamas can call off their search for a White house pooch, with Biden assuming the role of adorable, sad puppy.
Credit Biden for having a sense of humor about all of this. Only in the bizarro world of American politics would Joe Biden be overshadowed by Sarah Palin, but he takes it in stride.
I also credit Biden for putting his ego aside and not responding to impatient media reports about a
lack of definition in his role as VP. Considering the steady supply of leaks from the transition office, this shows considerable discipline on the part of Biden and his staff.
