Yes, the place to be this January is most definitely Washington DC. In fact, if you're lucky enough to own property in the nation's capitol, you might consider popping up a Craigslist ad to rent it out for the inaugural festivities. Former Presidential candidate and all around grumpy old man, Fred Thompson, is doing just that. Via the New York Post:

A source tells us the ex-Republican presidential candidate and part-time actor, who did 142 episodes of "Law & Order," is offering to rent his luxury one-bedroom condo in Washington, DC, for five days. The price: $30,000.

No word on how many of your friends you can bring to flop on Fred's floor. Think Thompson is asking too much? Consider the amenities?

"It has a balcony overlooking the inaugural parade route, the Navy Memorial and the US Capitol, and comes with a reserved parking space."

So, what do you think?
