ABC has the scoop on the first aspirant for Barack Obama's Senate Seat to get unwanted scrutiny in the Blagojevich scandal:

Chicago Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., D-Ill. is the anonymous "Senate Candidate No. 5" whose emissaries Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich reportedly offered up to $1 million to name him to the U.S. Senate, federal law enforcement sources tell ABC News.

Oh, boy. Here we go. Get ready, more names will be coming. Gonna find out who's been naughty or nice.

For his part, Jackson Jr. is cooperating fully with investigators:

Jackson said, "I don't know" when asked whether he was Candidate No. 5, but said he was told "I am not a target of this investigation."

Jackson said he agreed to talk with federal investigators "as quickly as possible" after he consulted with a lawyer.

Well, so long as he never offered Blagojevich $1 million, or anything else, for that matter, in exchange for being appointed Senator, JJJ should be fine. Er, ah, well. Good that he's in contact with his lawyers, anyway. Illinois Republican Representative Mark Kirk would agree with the latter point. Earlier today he told MSNBC that while he thinks Obama has little or nothing to do with this matter, "Senate Candidate No. 5" is

"The person we're all wondering about because it's likely that person will be indicted, too."
