Which brings up two questions: What the hell does the Secretary of the Interior do, and how much do you think I c

an get that Senate seat for?

The LA Times is reporting the "Great Aunt Once Removed" of all leaks:

Sen. Ken Salazar (D-Colo.), a Latino with deep knowledge of water and land issues, is President-elect Barack Obama's choice to lead the Interior Department.

Two senior Democrats said Obama will name Salazar to the post, rounding out the energy and environmental policy team announced Monday in a Chicago news conference.

The Times reporter, Jim Tankersley, must've had a hell of a time staying calm as he excitedly tapped out that scoop. Seriously, those two senior Democrats belong in source jail.

Here's what the IntSec does. The current Secretary's name is Dirk Kempthorne, a nice mixture of porno and aristocracy.

Ken Salazar is the junior Senator from Colorado, which makes me wonder if the senior Senator is Methuselah.

Finally, if I'm Barack Obama, I've got to be losing my famous cool by now with all these leaks. Seriously? You can't keep Secretary of the Interior under your hat? Hyperactive kindergartners have more discretion than that.

10:10 pm Update: Ha! I just got an email from the Obama campaign announcing a press conference tomorrow. Ooo, I better hurry to that one!
