Gingrich Joins McCain in Blasting RNC for Blagojevich Attacks on Obama

I think it's nice to see people finally working together to stop the bashing.. I voted for Obama, and even though I don't believe in a lot of things that the McCain/Palin ticket stood for, I never once disrespected them with a lot of the hateful comments that I see on here. There is a lot of us and them mentality out there and not enough working together, it's very damaging.. What makes this country great is that we can have ideas that are different than the next persons, that's why we are a FREE country.. People should keep that in mind when they start bashing people, saying racist, ignorant comments to people who share a different opinion. If you really want to make someone think, state why you believe in this or that in an intelligent way, back it up with facts, and let other people decide for themselves. It is the bitter and ignorant people who are ruining this country.

The dumb ass repulican party still doesn't get it. Election is over and they lost. They didn't learn anything and that is fine with the rest of us - hopefully, they will keep acting like jackasses and kill their own party.

Why should they let up on O'Bama,the democrats and media were not kind to Sarah Palin,they tried to destroy her and she didn't do any thing wrong other than not being well versed on politics.Are they afraid the truth will come out about the Blagojevich and O'Bama connection in Chicago and who bank rolled both of them.

@ rmhairshow: I guess that would be the, "I know you are but what am I" strategy. O.K., based on your logic we can blame the Republican Party for everything that Bush screwed up in perpetuity. McCarthy was successful with that approach too.

Nice play on words there, Hope--at least I hope (no pun intended) that was your intention. (The jackass being the DNC symbol and all) Let's hope both parties continue to cannibalize themselves--then we can start all over. Keep Obama though--every society needs a great and powerful OZ.

I wish someone at the RNC had the guts to tell Newt and John that they do not speak for the party. They both were in positions of leadership and had their chance and screwed up. In different ways of course. Newt on morality issues, and John even when he had several winning issues handed to him on a silver platter muffed it. His only point was to "reach across the aisle". To whom may I ask? and to what end.

We have them to thank for our neo-socialist president and congressional majority.

They should be told that they do not have a chance at being president and should just shut up.

I agree with you Anthony however these are the freedoms many of us are so worried about losing. I will give the President-Elect a chance even though I did not vote for him. If the economy keeps getting worse which many predict it will than Socialism or Communism for that matter might start to seem like a good idea to a lot of folks... When actually heading down that path would end up being the death of our Nation. I am an independent conservative who hopes the far right is wrong about Obama and his plan to destroy the country. I will give Obama the benefit of the doubt but am not going to say that I am not worried. I do wonder why he has connections to so many corrupt officials... and it frightens me when he says things like

"Redistribute the wealth"

and

"We need a Civilian Task Force for Homeland Security"

Let's see what his policies are but if we do not remember History then we will be condemned to repeat it.

And that is not a good thing my Liberal Friends...

I think the Right's negative reaction to Newt's and McCain's call for unity just about sums up why the Republican party base is going down in flames. Too many in that base cling to, even relish, gutter tactics and division.

Since so many good Republicans are getting on the unity bandwagon to help fix the economy and the rest of the country's current troubles, it seems the party's diehard rabble rousers and racists will ultimately be isolated, their members exposed for who they are, and held in utter distain by the rest of the country.

Maybe we can ship them all off to China, or Siberia.
