Click here to visit the new home of Politics Daily! With all due respect to Colin Powell, the notion that anyone who endorsed Barack Obama should be giving Republicans advice on the direction of the GOP is absurd. This, of course, is Rush Limbaugh's primary argument:
Certainly, General Powell has every right to endorse whomever he wants, but his recent act of electoral apostasy should also disqualify him from dispensing advice to Republican Party (or it should, at least, prevent the media from presuming he is credible on the subject).
Simply put, Powell's advice to Republicans is about as welcome as was Zell Miller's advice to Democrats.
