Schwarzenegger For President?
In a sprawling interview with 60 Minutes last night, California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger dropped a not-so-subtle hint to Republicans: get busy changing the Constitution because Ahnold has his eyes on the White House. Asked by Scott Pelley if he'd like to be president, Schwarzenegger responded in no uncertain terms:
"Yeah, absolutely," Schwarzenegger acknowledged. "I think that I am always a person that looks for the next big goal. And I love challenges. I always set goals that are so high, that are almost impossible to achieve. Because then, you're always hungry for climbing and climbing. Because it's always interesting. The climb is always interesting. When you get there you just have to pick another goal."
Schwarzenegger was, of course, not born in the U.S.A. so it would take some rule changing before he's able to launch a presidential bid. I'm sure Californians, myself included, would like to see the governor make good on his campaign promise to chip away at the Golden State's epic budget shortfall before he starts looking for a promotion.
In the CBS interview, Schwarzenegger discussed California's financial straits -- as well as his bold, decidedly non-Republican environmental policies, and even cheating at weightlifting. Check it out here.

Well, I watched the interview as well. Congress will hardly go out of its way to change the constitution (a monumental effort) for the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Besides, most Republicans consider him a RINO (Republican in name only) - however, that is their mistake. Someone with Schwarzenegger's name and appeal could easily win the White House one day.

I'm no fan of Ah-nold's, but I have a selfish reason for favoring the amendment: it would allow me to tell my daughter (born and adopted overseas) that she can grow up to be President. There are thousands of other parents in the country who have the same reason, but that's not nearly enough support (let alone sufficient reason) to get something passed.

I am a naturalized citizen and I DO NOT want the constitution amended that will allow foreign born citizens to become President of the United States. There is absolutely no rhyme or reason to change the constituion and this idiot Govt. knows that. Yet, time and time again he makes a comment that we need to do this and do that. Who gives a shit what he wants ???????????????????????? There was a reason why the Founding Fathers wanted to make sure that only an American born citizen can become the President of this country. People need to get off their asses and go read - really read - and try to understand the Constitution the way it is written. Just reading synopsis is not going to cut.

Newspapers are having a hard time selling the dead trees?
i would suggest printing something that folks want to read...maybe even a Pulitzer in it for the Journalist
Folks would love reading about where their hard earned and paid tax monies have gone after the Banks received it...it is unconscionable that People in the business of counting money can't account for the money...

it is Our country and Our tax money...We the Folks can demand Our elected officials start a Thrift to fund small business and let the Banks die on the vine...We own Fannie & Freddie anyway & AIG...We could do it ourselves

Nicht! Tatsache, Kalifornier wäre viel besser gedient, wenn er langsam das Tempo der Suche nach, dass die nächste große Ziel, bis, nachdem er hat gegen die Haushalts-Ziel er versicherte, er werde sich Arbeit zu lösen sind. Vielleicht brauchen wir eine neue ein.

The laws says no to Arnold and says yes to Blagojevich that the exclusionary rule doesn't apply to administrative hearings, He's going out of office for only in a criminal proceeding will that so called illegally obtained evidence be suppressed.

Jimbo,fed up, and all the other "Obama was born in Kenya" talkers since when do your types believe elderly black women from another nation? Of our own nation? When it suits your agenda that is when apparently.... Why will he not show your types his 'real birth certificate' I can reason a guess.
