Alaska Governor Sarah Palin welcomed her first grandchild, Klaatu Barada Nikto Palin, into the world. Actually, th

The baby's real name is Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston, and he weighs in at a healthy 7 lb., 4 oz. New mom Bristol and baby are doing well since the birth on Sunday, according to People Magazine.

Governor Palin, unfortunately, was unaware the birth had occurred, as she was giving a television interview several feet in front of it.

Hospital officials, meanwhile, could not confirm rumors that they had detained a mysterious figure wearing a Sherlock Holmes cap and brandishing a large magnifying glass, but nobody's seen Andrew Sullivan for hours.

All kidding aside, congratulations to Bristol and fiance Levi Johnston, Tripp's father, and best wishes on a speedy recovery.
