The Obama evangelical love-fest continues with recent comments by Baptist icon and 700 Club host and founder Rev. Pat Robertson.
Interviewed on December 23rd by CNN's Suzanne Malveaux, the former Republican presidential candidate said:
I am remarkably pleased with Obama. I had grave misgivings about him. But so help me, he's come in forcefully, intelligently. He's picked a middle of the road cabinet. And so far, if he continues down this course, he has the makings of a great president. So, I'm very pleased so far.
Conversely, speaking of the Bush presidency, Robertson stated, "But I believe I would look at about a C-minus right now if I were grading him." I can't wait to hear Pat's predictions for 2009.
From Wright to Robertson, Obama continues to woo the clergy. Let's hope he lives up to the heavenly expectations.
Wright and Robertson, both religious radicals. Where's the surprise that these are who Obama attracts?

With 64 million people voting for him, it's not surprising that a few extremists would be included too. Robertson, however, is surprising. Perhaps he's being persuaded to abandon his extremism and move to center.

The Pope could bless and praise Obama but the people who don't support Barack will call His Holiness a blasphemer and pawn of Satan.
Robertson is, above all, a salesman. The "I'm mad as hell and not going to take it" spiel no longer sells. Right now the center sells, and you may as well try selling SUV's if you want to cater to either left or right extremes.
Have another cup-o-koolaid Pat! Another right wing nut sees the light. If only Limbaugh . . . .
