So Rod Blagojevich found his man, and it's Roland Burris.

Burris, a former Illinois Comptroller and State Attorney General, will be named to fill Barack Obama's vacant Senate seat later today.

While this is clearly a big day for Burris, the question now is what's in it for Blagojevich? Clearly, a bribe was offered, but it may be weeks before Patrick Fitzgerald reveals it in a [bleep]-filled press conference.

Tell us what Burris offered that, say, Mike Ditka could not.

What did Roland Burris offer Rod Blagojevich for the Senate seat?
$500,0001176 (53.4%)
Ambassadorship to Wisconsin218 (9.9%)
An Indecent Proposal245 (11.1%)
Free Comptrolling for Life185 (8.4%)

Our New Approach to Comments

In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers – a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around. Please read our Help and Feedback section for more info.
