Wow, it looks like I
resigned just in the nick of time.

RedState.com, the leading conservative website, has
just rolled out something called "Strike Force," complete with an emblem modeled after a special forces insignia.
To be more effective in 2009, we all need to do a better job organizing.
If you are interested in being a part of the Army of Redstate Activists in your state, please fill out the form below. We'll post this on a regular basis.
Let's organize.
Let's get ourselves organized state by state. Sign up if you are interested.

The first 50 registrants will be given their choice of "uniforms," e.g. Construction Worker, Policeman, Cowboy, or can opt for a simple beret. (Note to RedStaters: That part was a joke.)
Aside from the goofy military symbolism, a signifier of some conservatives' bunker mentality in Obama's America, liberals could actually learn a lesson from this. Barack Obama was able to overcome the cat-herding mentality of my fellow progressives through exactly
this kind of branding. Of course, they were helped along by a deeply unappealing set of Republican policies.
If the Strike Force becomes popular, maybe we'll see Captain Ed handing out com badges and phasers over at
Hot Air. I know a lot of conservatives wouldn't mind spending the next 8 years on a holodeck.
Still, even if this catches on, the Democrats can still turn it to their advantage. Having all of the Republicans on one list like this will make it that much easier to come get their guns.
