Prominent Conservative Leaders Endorse Ken Blackwell for RNC Chair

As an Ohio resident, I have seen Blackwell's career from the time he was a Cincinnati City Council member to his disastrous run for Governor of Ohio in 2006 (where he was trounced by Democrat Ted Strickland). Blackwell's appeal is primarily with religious conservatives. I don't see how allowing the religious right to dominate the GOP is taking the party into the future. This only continues the same path of catering to an ever narrower group of Republicans.

I am also a Ohio resident, and have followed his political career in Ohio. Ken Blackwell is very limited in his appeal to Ohioans. Other than the religious right and ultraconservatives, he really has no base in Ohio. Despite being Afro-American, he seems to have a small influence in the African-American in Ohio. It would be a disaster for the Republican Party!

It appears that electing Ken Blackwell as RNC Chairman will bring the party into the black hole of a possible future National Socialist type movement. Most Americans do not agree with this narrow policy and this would make Republican Icons like Abraham Lincoln,Theodore Roosevelt, and Dwight Eisenhower roll over in their graves.

Is he the guy that worked to rig the election results in Ohio in 2004 when he was charge of the election? Huge lines due to lack of voting machines in basically Democrat areas, tried to stop some voting because the paper was "too thick", etc. He is carrying a lot of baggage, but if the GOP wants him. That's fine with me.

Bush. Michael Connell testified about that THIRD SECRET COMPUTER on Nov. 3rd, 2008. Connell could have also told what happened to the 5 million Karl Rove/Bush administraion missing e-mails. MORE KARL ROVE HANKY-panky. I say let Blackwell himself be deposed.

You go Dotty! Blackwell needs to be investigated along with Bush and Rove regarding this hush hushed story. Apparently Connell and his wife were threatened by Rove. Rove told Connell that his wife would be investigated. However, before the court could depose Connell he died in a plan crash near the Akron-Canton Airport. There are statements made that he was told his airplane was having trouble. Connell has been implicated in both the 2000 election debacle and the 2004 election debacle. He was the "computer genius" that apparently handled the election results for both elections and was being questioned specifically on the Ohio 2004 debacle.

It figures that the RNC would reward Blackwell.

Why cant they find someone else?  Isn't there someone else better for RNC Chairman, there has to be.

Since Blackwell's appeal is primarily focused with the religious conservatives, I say go ahead and let him lead the RNC and continue their slide into oblivion. This country is getting pretty tired of the mean spirited religious right that seems to have removed itself so far from the true tenets of Christianity that they are rapidly becoming a superfluous sect-like population that can no longer be taken seriously. Yes, for the sake of our country and rational thinking, bring on Blackwell.

I too are from Ohio and this state can't stand having anyone who isn't crooked running anything. We are almost as bad as our next door state. The Democrats have locked up this state with their slime hook up with the unions and ACORN.

When will my Rep Party tell the CONS to sit in the back of the room and behave. They had the ball in their court and absolutely "threw the game." The term Conservative has surpassed the term Liberal as being the dirtiest word in the country. They just don't get it!!! I want my party back!!! Scare tactics wont cut it anymore and being narrow minded can't win. You lost my vote and many others because of the CONS! Get smart and dump them!!
