We live in more of a pussy generation now, where everybody's become used to saying, "Well, how do we handle it psychologically?" In those days, you just punched the bully back and duked it out. Even if the guy was older and could push you around, at least you were respected for fighting back, and you'd be left alone from then on.
Yeah, Clint, but to be fair, you were also just as likely to be tried for sorcery in those days.
I've gotta say, if I'm picking my own generation's name, I'll take "Pussy Generation" over "Baby-Boomer" any day. It sounds kind of cool, like a process that you'd kill to have the patent for.
Does all of this portend a coarsening of our national dialog? I frakkin' hope so. I'm tired of having to out myself as a sci-fi dork every time I feel like dropping an f-bomb.
I'm old school, a baby boomer, and I agree with clint......we seemed to be more of a "stand your ground" and whatever happens, you have earned some respect.....now a days, it is a pussy generation, because, I think, pussy is much more available now......just kidding....I feel that todays world, you have to walk around with a muzzle on to avoid saying something that might offend someone....this is no longer a free society.....to damn many rules and regulations to deal with.....then again, my parents and grandparents said the same thing to me.....the advancement of society really seem to suck for us who are getting old

But wouldn't a muzzle restrict your access to the ...? (And also to what the always-eloquent self-described "D-lister" said. Oh, so *that's* what the "D" stands for.)
Still, I think it's unfair of Clint to characterize this generation, or any one, as "resembling or containing ... a viscous, yellowish-white fluid formed in infected tissue." That applies to a tiny number of us at worst. And some of them are probably protected by the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Well, on the Kathy Griffin issue, I watched some of the CNN New Year's Eve show and she was awful. No, I am not a prude, and I have nothing against her irritating voice and general vulgar personality - in the right forum. CNN is not one of those forums, and not for New Year's Eve. I like Anderson Cooper, but Griffin needs to go next year. She was making insulting - borderline vicious - remarks about several of the CNN reporters and was just generally obnoxious most of the time I would flip the channel back to her. Who the hell thought up this pairing? Ugh!
