McCain Launches 'Country First' Pac

I thought Republicans didn't like community service.

IF McCain HAD put 'Country First' I'd have voted for him. Somewhere during the campaign he sold his soul to win and there by lost. Palin is an insult to any intelligent American.

Ben, he DID put Country First by putting Palin on the ticket, your comment is an insult to all Americans! Barack Obama, if anyone, is an insult. Look at the corruption machine from which he came from, spotlighted by the Blagovich scandal and picking a corrupt Governor in Bill Richardson + an incompetent choice for CIA in Panetta...Change? All he has done is recycled Clinton Cronies into this so-called Change We Can Count On. LAUGHABLE there Ben!

Maybe McCain can push through a mortgage bailout program with a "Country First" organization. This "country first" organization can pressure banks to renegotiate mortgages to keep people in their homes.
In return for going to bat with the banks all the "country first" organization will require is the loan/mortgage recipient becoming an "active member" in "country first". Any bailout mortages the bank gives out will be backed and guarenteed by the full faith and credit of the United States...taxpayer.
Such a deal!!! Republicans can buy votes and build a grass roots political organization at taxpayer expense!!!.

After CRA and ACORN if you can't beat them, join them.

McCain ran his campaign as if he were a Democrat. He should cross over the aisle in the Senate just one more time -- sit down there -- AND STAY ONCE AND FOR ALL.

John McCain was an inspirational figure in this election, as he has been throughout his career of public service. Since McCain has shown his continued commitment to this country's highest ideals, I was proud to join his "Country First" PAC, and hope many other people will do the same.

Do we really need yet another "grassroots" organization - by the way, no explanation of the organization's purpose. Besides, they all claim to "keep country first." And doesn't the Senate keep McCain busy enough?

You represent an unqualified person for President, who used a conservative lite philosophy (says he is for tax cuts, pro-Israel, etc when his record is 180% opposite) game plan to get in when his ties to corrupt/terrorist neighbors shows why he would pick a corrupt Governor to be Commerce Secretary. The only thing Obama has done is run for President as Senator, nothing more. I'd have an itsy teenie bit of respect for the Dems if they had nominated Hillary. I have ZERO for Osama...uh Obama.

This whole mess we are in economically stems from the Democrats who were behind the CRA and ARMs. The Democrats CONTROLLED congress from 2006-2008 which saw gas prices shoot through the roof, durable goods and perishable goods prices shoot through the roof, and unemployment go up. They have a record, and they have a liberal media that allows them to hide from it.

Palin is an insult to any intelligent American.-----------I could not agree more. Didn't we learn a lesson when we elected the guy who we would rather have over for a BBQ? Conservatives wanted to follow that up with Palin, who didn't even know that Africa was a continent not a country. Unbelievable. Yet here you find people still yearning for her to run in 2012. I find it incredible but then remember that these are the people that listen to Rush Limbaugh. It is frightening.

McCain certainly did NOT put country first in the campaign as clearly shown in his cynical, dangerous choice of Palin - or in his bowing to his advisers' advice to pick her. Of course her candidacy was an insult to any intelligent person. It's unbelievable that anyone could be so ignorant of the monumental demands and requirements of the job, and of her absolute lack of ability and readiness to measure up.

For those who put party first and actually think it a BAD thing to cross the aisle, compromise, seek out and respect differing opinions - please take several more history courses.

And how pathetic that anyone should think that the constant repetition of a string of names next to Obama's makes him somehow suspect and less than qualified. Those 'relationships' were all examined and found innocuous and/or trivial; yet somehow putting them all together changes that?

Every life experience, educational goal and achievement, the self-discipline and intellectual curiosity shown in everything from his immersion in broad-based and deep reading material to his neverending engagement with the world around him and the greater world - these are but part of Obama's qualifications. He's not perfect but he's damned good.

The election is over, McCain! You and that ignorant running mate of yours lost! Put country first by being an active member of this country and support our president coming into office. United we stand, divided we fall is the message we should be sending to other countries. Sarah Pallins, Rush L., and Joe the Nothing should see that there are too many intelligent Americans that want to move forward with change for all. Sarah, go home and teach your children values the ones you claim to have. Disgraceful!

Ben is right about Mccain. If he was putting country first, he would not have picked Palin to run on his ticket. She is the cause of him not winning and she knows it. The lady was in something that was bigger than she was. She did not know how to win the election.She forgot that this is the United States Of America and not just her home state of Alaska.

how do you feel about the FACT that the police involved in the investigation into her soon to be son in law's mom, who was known for selling Oxycotin to the local high school kids, these officials were ASKED to hold off on arresting her, for the sake of Governor Sarah....

yeah...thats great, while the woman is steadily selling death to kids...but hold off on snagging her...to hell with the kid that may die from taking the drugs that Gov. Sarah's future Inlaw was selling...

I am sooooo happy John McCain and Sarah Palin went down in flames. I saw them doing nothing by further degradation to this nation by continuing to play the ugly-American worldwide. Much like George W. Bush, John and sarah haven't a clue of how the world works and how America fits into that scheme. They only see more places to ship our jobs to and then bomb if they don't cooperate. Anybody who thinks Sarah Palin would make a good president, please check yourself into a treatment center right away!!!!
