I suppose it's only the fact that "Blow me!" is already a metaphor that keeps Coulter from responding in kind.
On Countdown, Keith Olbermann lit into conservative author Ann Coulter like a frothing pit bull in an overstocked butcher shop. He accuses Coulter of concocting the
lifetime ban story, then of begging for a second chance to appear on NBC's "Today" show. About ten minutes into the rant, he gets around to the final, arch zing! If NBC are pimps, then what does that make her for wanting to be on the show?
Here's the thing. All of that sarcasm seemed a little bit self-canceling, and I must be missing something with the eye-patch, but even with the fig leaf that she's calling herself a whore, it's not OK. There must be a better way to make your point than that.
I enjoy Countdown very much, but I think Keith takes these feuds too personally sometimes. Sometimes, you have to just
be the bigger man.
