Dick Cheney Admits to Being an 'Urban Legend'

Dick Cheney is just trying to take the spotlight off of himself. LOL I feel that a report on how much money he made via Haliburton Stock would be appropriate. For those that don't know - Haliburton is the company that provides the majority of the everyday supplies (food, personal necessities, etc.) to the US military and it is based in Canada!

If you want to know where the money went - just check the Bush family profits and the Dick Cheney profits (and a few others) for the past 8 years. No conflict of interest there? - Yeah right.

Has anybody ever seen a picture of Cheney with what looked like a genuine smile on his face other than the one that was taken of him with Saddam Hussien back when Saddam was our not so hidden allie against Iran? Saddam must have just promised to take Dick a tour of the torture chambers right before that shot was taken.

Comparing Dick Cheney to Darth Vadar is unfair to Darth Vadar. At least Vadar came back to the good side of the force and killed the evil emperor.

Yes, I am sure "the decider" Bush made the decisions at the end of the day (or at least he went in front of the cameras and pretended to be), but Cheney - an entrenched Washington bureaucrat if ever there was one - knew he could run over the likes of newcomer Condoleeza Rice and even fellow bureaucrat Colin Powell in the run up to the decision to invade Iraq. With those two on Cheney's side, do we really believe "the decider" was going to go against all three of them?

Obama health reform drive gets diverse backing

On Thursday, six organizations launched a new ad campaign, but this one is focused on supporting efforts to reform the U.S. system, which leaves 46 million Americans uninsured, costs more than any other country's and yet produces poorer outcomes than those of other developed nations, such as high rates of newborn deaths, obesity, diabetes and heart disease.

"In order to fix the ailing economy, the nation needs health care reform that addresses the related problems of health care costs and people losing health coverage," read a joint statement from the American Cancer Society, American Medical Association, Families USA, Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, Regence BlueCross BlueShield, and Service Employees International Union.

"Healing our health care system is a key component to jumpstarting our national economy. As our new ad makes clear -- quality, affordable health care is good for families and it's good for businesses," said AMA President Dr. Nancy Nielsen.

"While businesses and families cope with unaffordable health care costs, many workers are losing their jobs and health coverage," said Ron Pollack, executive director of Families USA, a non-profit health care interest group.

"As a result, it's clear that America's economic difficulties require meaningful health care reform."

Professional Woman, Presidents and people elected to public office put their money in a blind trust. How do you know how much money they made if they don't know themselves? Just the Attorneys do! What is your profession anyway?

America First...A blind Trust is supposed to shield the individual holdings only..not the Amount. Cheney & Bush both hold Halliburton stock by stating that they want stock in: "An International Oil field services company who overcharges & loots the US taxpayers for billions each year in no bid contracts, w/o receipts"

They have both been consigned to the dustbin of history where the stories of their collective failures will dog them for the rest of their days and beyond.

At least Cheney paid taxes on all his profits, unlike some others we now know that have not. Or do only Republicans have to pay taxes and Dems don't?
