Who Did Barack Obama Feast With During Bush's Victory Lap?

One of the many things I have in common with Angela Lansbury is that I love a good mystery.

During President Bush's speech last night, Barack and Michelle Obama hit a hot DC restaurant, with some guests. From CBS News:
As his predecessor, President Bush, said his final goodbyes to America on national television, President-elect Barack Obama and his wife Michelle dined at the DC restaurant, Equinox Thursday night.

A host at the restaurant tells CBS News' that the President-elect stopped by the only television in the high end establishment, a small screen at the bar, and watched for "a minute or two." The source said he did not notice what Mr. Obama was watching but that "no" it was not for an extended period of time.
The Washington Post reports that there were 11 other guests in the Obama party, all unidentified. I know John McCain would have had a field day with "Obama + 12" during the campaign. Given his recent repasts with both conservative and liberal pundits, the mystery guests could easily have been delegations of Sharks and/or Jets.

There will be some who take offense at Obama missing most of Bush's speech, discounting the possibility that Barack had already heard it several times as Bush rehearsed it for him. Probably over the phone. (Obama: George, you're not using the red phone for this, are you?)

I can see their point, but then, maybe the spite of having to stay in a hotel so Bush could host one former Australian PM in a kajillion-room house worked Obama up an appetite.

I will say that I'm proud of Obama. I checked over the Equinox's menu very carefully, and it is completely arugula-free.
