Thousands of Inaugural Ticket-Holders Turned Away-- Including Us!

i was a blue ticket holder and we stood in a line that never moved for 5 hours. we heard that the metal detector wasn't working. they never communicated anything, just let us stand there. all you could see was the people in front of you. we could hear the music and the cheers and we just stood there trapped. then once it was too late, they let us go and people were getting trampled. people were crying. one family had come from alabama w/their kids, paid for the expensive flights/hotels and had gotten their tickets from their congressmen all to be treated like this. i paid $350 to some greedy person who had gotten thier ticket from "a very powerful senator" because it meant that much to me. it's not about the money. history happened and we were in a pen like cattle hearing glimpses of it in the distance.

After reading the shots you took at Bush in your blog about his return to Texas on this day that is supposed to be filled with 150 million dollars worth of "unity and joy" I have no sympathy for you whatsoever. I hope the tunnel was smelly.

I will give them the same respect that was given to Bush for keeping all your sorry rears safe. You show no respect to a man and his wife who are both gracious with class. Obama is in love with himeself...and excuses will be made for everything he is unable to do for the next 4 years. He is untested and naive and that worries me to death. I worry for our country.

I hear negative comments from Obama for the past 6 months. By continuously talking about negative things, he is causing fear in people, which in turn, causes them to spend less, and be more afriad, which causes even more worse economic times. He is elected and needs to talk about Hope and everyone coming togehter and LETS SHOP and spend and travel. STOP the negative BS.

I experienced the same thing in the Second St tunnel. After walking it twice and being denied admisson with a ticket. We gathered around a Zune MP3 player and listened to the ceremony passing headphones person to person. Fun Stuff!

Poor babies. I'm sorry you had to spend the day in a tunnel instead of getting to see your Messiah. I was lucky enough to get to watch President Bush give a very heart-warming and gracious speech at his Welcome Home party in Texas.
