Obama gave his first weekly radio address as President this week. It was about the economy of course. He outlined some More specifics about his stimulus plan. I will count this as a news event because a) it was his first address as President, so that's got to count for something, and b) all the big news organizations are pretending it's news. However, defending his stimulus plan was kind yesterday's news. Literally.
You can watch the radio address here. The plan itself continues to receive skepticism from Congress, so we'll call the radio address a wash.
On the upside for the President, he has a staggering 68% approval rating still with only 12% diapproving of the job he's done so far. A definite plus.
Check out the running tally here.
