Bipartisanship fail! Although this is a win for House Democrats, it has to be seen as a failure for Obama, as he went to the GOP how many times? In order to persuade them with some smooooth bipartisanship talk.

Apparently the House GOP doesn't have quite the man crush on Obama that others do.

The U.S. House of Representatives Wednesday approved an $819 billion economic stimulus plan.
The vote was 244-188. Eleven Democratic members voted against the legislation and no Republicans voted for it, NBC News said.
Excellent. This is a Democratic bill through and through. And it's not beyond thought that 40 Republicans in the Senate could stop this monstrosity altogether.

That's still a long shot, but if we're not able to kill this thing outright at least we'll make sure that Democrats are seen as the party of printing money and the Republicans as the "sane" party. And the Blue Dogs, the Democratic sub-party supposedly all about fiscal responsibility? Not so much.

But I'm feeling much better about 2010.
